Mikie,
You are beautiful! Thanks for sharing your look. You are absolutley right. These lippies are FABULOUS!! Carpe Diem has quickly jumped to the top of the lippie pile and it's gonna be hard to move it off. This has definitely become my favorite. I'm going to need a lot of these, LOL, so I never run out.

Lyn ~
I love the lippies! *And* it's a *wonderful* cause!
I added a link in my signature for the Breast Cancer Site ~ clicking the pink box is free & will lead to the advertisers sponsoring free mammograms. There's a tab there for Animal Resue, too! It's all good! :D

Colors for a Cause -- October only?

Post by extemter » Tue Oct 14, 2008 3:14 pm

Are the Colors for a Cause items disappearing from the website at the end of October? For example, I noticed that Rare Berry is still available even though it's described as limited edition.

I can definitely see you with your Copper Rose (since OF COURSE you must've reordered, lol) over the Monarch. Endless possibilities with SN lippies! Yesterday Jen described Carpe Diem as Breathless meets Berry Crush..or something like that..& that nails it. *Gorgeous*! Am wearing the lippies layered here!

i believe Rare Berry is LE because the recipe got lost and it would be very difficult to replicate an identical batch. It wasn't really intended to be LE, it was accidentally LE... It doesn't have a timeframe, it's available until it sells out.

I also have heard rumors that LE Silk Naturals items may be "gone but not forgotten". Karen may have something up her sleeve for those LE colors that you can no longer get... but those are just rumors ;)

Sam's right on the Rare Berry- the pigment batch I made was huge (the lippies are made fresh in small batches)- and there's a chance I can dupe it- or stumble upon the recipe- so it's on the site for the time being. People really like that color- so I'm holding onto it for as long as we can.

The LE lippies with the gold are for October only- I called in a lot of favors and we're forgoing any profit to be able to offer them at that price with that much of a donation, and I can't keep that up. If people like the formula there's a chance we'll offer it in other colors as a tinted balm- but ones with the gold are here for the next 2 weeks only.

Sooooooooooo, where are the reviews & raves? Lots of gals *must* have these by now? I *cannot* be alone in my thinking they are decadent, can I? Waiting impatiently for others to weigh in with opinions :( . I was/*am* blown away by these.

Fear not, MIkie, you are not alone. I ordered several of these already, got a chance to try them (and love them), and they've already been dispatched as gifts - one for a birthday, one for a medical anniversary, one for a woman who was just diagnosed with bc. They are indeed decadent - like having an occasional REALLY expensive chocolate or champagne! I'll be wearing mine a lot around the holidays. Heck, I'll be wearing mine a lot. PERIOD! Lauren

Oh this is not fair

My mum ordered me those lippies and e/s as a birthday pressy, but I won't get them till the end of the month. I've never wanted a lippie this badly (I blame you Mikie  )and I going for drinks with friends after work tomorrow and I could really use them. I was one the the lip balm wishers - thanks Karen

Oh well something to really look forward to. Thanks for the review mikie and you look fantas-mo by the way

Poor thing! You'll just have to set up a very cool date for early November (and mid-November, late-November,...) I guarantee you'll love these. Lauren
