Which lippies are lightest?

I think maybe sometimes the cotton bud absorbs some of the colour and changes it? I had that happen with birthday suit, on the site it looked really brown, and I knew it wouldn't work for me, but I got a sample and it turned out pinkish on my lips... when my fullsize arrived I had been right the first time, and it turned out way more brown :(

Maybe :S Perhaps chunks of lippies would work better as samples than those cotton buds then? Just a thought!

Just wanted to update, now that I got my order, Bloom is definatley a light pink, and with very little if any shimmer, and it does lighten my lips. It is actually perfect, exactly what I was looking for! So that sample that I talked about before was just different for some reason, it was a deeper pink and with shimmer, so not sure why, but the full size I got is definatley different from that.

I am so glad to hear you like it too It's strange about that sample ... I wonder if that was just a different batch or whether the sample was simply labelled wrongly :S

LOL Actually I sent her the sample of Bloom and now I'm scratching my head because my Bloom does not have any shimmer at all. It's milky pink not deep pink. I'm wondering if I mislabeled it or something? However, the only SN lippie I have with shimmer is Mirabelle. Oxana, sorry to have sent you a wacky sample.

LOL, don't worry about it, it was so sweet of you to send me those samples. They really helped me in figuring out which lippies to get.

Ok, I tried them all now, all the lippies I got, which was a lot (I think like 11 or so) and I really like them all. XXX is awesome at being a really opaque nude lip color, it works perfect for that. I really want to get more of the vegan lipsticks after loving XXX so much, but I am afraid they will be too dark or too brown, for those that have tried them, how did they work out for you?

She totally chewed up the tube too one time I had to make an important phone call, and I actually gave her an organic, all-natural lipbalm to eat, because I knew it would keep her quiet for a while I don't think that counts as good mothering

I laughed even harder this time!!! At least you found a use for colors that don't work!!! No wasting money!! Think of it as a natural cleansing; w/all the oils it comes right out the other end!!

When I was a small kid, I loved SUGAR. I went out w/my parents and their friends (not sure where my sisters were or why no one sat for me) for dinner. My mom gave me a sugar packet to play w/. As they were chatting and ignoring me, I opened one up and ate it. By the time my mom noticed I had eaten about 20!!! We still laugh about it to this day. That was about 35 years ago, if it happened today, I bet someone would call the authorities and claim I wasn't being taken care of. Oh, the good old days!!!

Is XXX something you would wear alone or just underneath to block your own lip color?

I have't tried any of the vegan lipsticks. On me everything looks too brown or pink. Sultry looks awesome, they all do!!

I would wear XXX alone if I wanted to do a nude lip. I'd probably apply it lightly though because it is really opaque, so it just depends what you like and the look that you want to achieve. If you put it on normally you would get a look like you used foundation to block out the color of your lips, which can look great on some people, but for others may be too light. It is a couple of shades darker though than my foundation, but it still looks really light since my lips are usually pretty pink looking on their own.

Oxana, did you get sparkle? Can you tell me how it looks? Can you wear it on its own like gold blush? I bought it this week and am excited to see if it will make my pinks a little lighter. Thanks!

I think any mom can relate to those moments...I had a laugh when I read this because it reminded me of when my boys were babies. I used to give mine frozen bananas. I always kept a few in the freezer for those moments when I needed him to be occupied for a while. They were messy a heck, but it was worth it at the moment

Trainer - I tried out Sparkle on its own and it gave my lips a sheer wash of white shimmer, so they did look lighter and shinier. I think it is a bit more sheer than Gleaming, which I have to apply lightly otherwise I get pure gold lips, lol. But with Sparkle I felt like even if I applied it heavily, it probably wouldn't be too much, so it is very wearable on its own. I don't have Gold Blush, but I have Precious(which I heard is similar), and I would say it is the same sheerness (if that is a word) as Sparkle. I have not tried Sparkle over or under other colors yet, just on its own.
