Cream Shadow Gumball
Re: Cream Shadow Gumball
Thanks for trying
I'd still be interested in trying a cream shadow if it was made by Karen ! I'd love some one color lid washes for those quickie, but pulled together looks.

Re: Cream Shadow Gumball
I didn't get to try the cream shadow as it would have been too light for my skin tone but I second the request for Fusion as a cream shadow!! I have no idea if that would be easy.. since the eyelight finish is so unique!
I would really like a demi-matte cream shadow. Something like a caramel beige. I know that sounds like such a boring color but I really like the my eyes but better colors. Just something to awaken my eyelids so I can go crazy with black liner. ( I think this works well for deep set eyes ). I don't know if it would be possible to make bit it would be very cool!

Totally agree! I love this look too, and these types of neutrals can actually be hard to find in the world of super shimmery eyeshadows! A dupe of Urban Decay's ABC gum would be great!kinjali22 wrote: I would really like a demi-matte cream shadow. Something like a caramel beige. Yes!! They are unbelievably hard to find. I'm currently using the second from the left color in is precious metal quad - http://superficialsydney.blogspot.com/2 ... hadow.html. Its a bit more pearly than I would like and the base is too coppery. It's what I had in my stash and I'm cringing at the thought of how long I've had it.kchalbi wrote:Totally agree! Re: Cream Shadow Gumball
Another great thing to try with the cream shadow, especially this color because it is sparkly, is to dab it over your current eye shadow look to spice it up a little, add some sparkle. You can do this if say you got off work and you had a pretty safe look, just dab a little with your finger right over your other shadow, it will make it a little more glamorous for going out without having to redo your whole look.
Or, and this is what happened to me the other day, if your shadow turns out looking a little flat as mine did when I tried a matte look, just dab on a little of the cream shadow with your finger in the center of your lid, it will add some dimension and help save the look.
It works well when gently dabbed over powdered shadow, the shadow underneath stays put.

Re: Cream Shadow Gumball
Just want to chime in that I really like the curious cream shadow. It has good staying power even without primers. Hope to see more shades and variations (demi matte etc), and maybe a better packaging in the final product! Great work Karen!
Re: Cream Shadow Gumball
Just wanted to revive this thread to discuss the new info on these. So Karen said they are very tricky to make in matte or pearl finish, and those finishes has not been working out thus far.
So I just wanted to say for me personally even if they can only be available in a shimmery finish, I would still love more cream shadows. What about you ladies?
If they could be with as fine of a shimmer as possible, just nothing chunky or glittery so I don't get fallout, I would be perfectly happy. And I would rather have that than no cream shadows at all. I really love the Gumball Curious and have been using it a lot.

It's a cool enough product that I'm still working on it...I'm not convinced that what we gumballed is the right base- it works with sparkle, or sheer, but anything with coverage just wasn't all that great. So, if I can't come up with something better I'll probably do some sheer washes for spring, but I have to make sure we're really doing our best on it.
