That's a really neat idea about using the pencil tin. It would be really sturdy.
If someone wants to try it, but has aluminum pans like I do, then you'd stick little pieces of a sheet magnet on the bottom of the aluminum pans, and assuming the pencil tin is made of a type of metal that attracts magnets(might want to check in store before you buy), they should stick right to it

wow zus, i'm never a crafty person. way to go! I didn't think of getting a tin box. that would be good. I got black plain palettes for 6euros each including shipping, since I just need plain ones to stack my (future) pressed shadows. i'll get myself cuter one for the purse.

This is a freestyle palette I made yesterday. I just took the dividers out of my 28 pan palette that I got from eBay, and stuck a metal sheet at the bottom so my pans will stick to it. The metal sheet is from a magnetic dry erase board.
Now I can fit more than 28 shadows in there and the are easier to take out too

Oxana, do you know how much each SN full-size shadows and blushes weigh? I think my calculation is all wrong, but if shadows are 3/4tsp each, that should be around 4.5g, and blushes are 1.5tsp each, so 9g.

You said that each SN full-size shadows nicely fills 26mm pan, right? I went to MAC website and their shadows weigh 1.5g and blushes 6g, and the pan sizes are 26mm and 36mm each.

So, if my calculation was right, and SN's weigh more than MAC, shouldn't the full full-sizes fit into bigger size pans?

I want to purchase some other bigger pans for my SN blushes, but the options for pan sizes are overwhelming I don't know which size to get!

just found out in Phyrra's blog that each full shadows weigh approximately 2g each. Anyone can confirm this? Thanks!

I'm sorry I don't have a way to find out how much they weigh. But I want to say that since you are adding oil to press them, that adds to the weight, so they will probably weigh more when pressed.
Also, I have 26mm pans from a few different places, and what I notice is the edges are higher for some, so that will effect how much product they hold.
The full size SN shadows fill up the pans all the way to the top when pressed, but the GWPs do not.

Oh. As for the full-size blushes, do you have any idea which pan size I better get? TKBtradings has 36mm pans, 26mm square pans, 54mm x 26 mm pans, and the list goes on... (I told you the options are overwhelming!) Got any suggestions on that?

I have pressed the blushes in 44mm pans before, and from what I remember there was a little room for more, so probably something close to 44mm would work
