Hi,

My name is Nicola and i'm from Australia. I was first introduced to SN via the Vogue Australia Forums. I'm a regular stalker... i check the site at least once a day.
I'm amazed by how fast the shipping is too. 4 or 5 days. TO AUSTRALIA.... WOW.

Welcome to both of you! That's the one nice thing about the new rate increase- the post office seems to get them there a little bit faster. I remember when it took ages and ages (it's still longer than you probably want to wait)- they're getting better! It would take me about 3 days to get to Australia- so I'm impressed!

I am new to Silk Naturals but have been using mineral makeup for several years. I found this sight while looking around on Mineral Makeup Mania. I am soooo happy I found it too...The colors are so nice and pigmented and quite affordable. I don't usually join these boards just usually sit quietly in the background, but all you ladies seem so nice. So hi to everyone ;) ... I am sure you will here from me again.

Hi there, this is gaogirl! I'm from SC. I am new to Silk Naturals and heard about them through another forum. A lot have raved about the finishing powders and so I decided to get some for my first order and I loved it very much. I ordered the sample of the foundation kit to try and it was nice. It is very natural too. For my second order I got two of the lip gloss lipsticks?? If that's what they are called. I got them in Xoxo and Swept Away and i, OMG I loved these sooo much! I am planning to get more but my pockets are kinda empty right now as I am saving for a house so eventually I will be back for more. I sooo feel like I want to buy the whole store but can't do that  Anyhow, I had to join this forum cuz I really love SN's. TTL!

My username is Zeebs and I'd prefer to not share my real name or location, except that I live in the USA.

I have very pale skin and an odd sort of cool-yet-yellow undertone, so up until now, I have been spending $66 a pop for the Prescriptives custom blended foundation. I recently switched to Aveda (in Aspen color) for $20ish , but I am looking forward to trying the Silk Naturals makeup once I scrape together a little more cash (and use up my Aveda foundation).

I just ordered my first three products and am waiting for them to arrive in the mail: disco eyeshadow, Capricious lip stuff, and one of the blush samples (can't remember the name off the top).

I found SN by searching for "natural cosmetics" or something like that on Yahoo. Just surfed on in! I also saw Silk Naturals featured on http://www.nessasarymakeup.com/ which is also one of my favorite makeup sites.

Hey! My name is Faith, and I just thought I'd bump this thread and add my own intro. :) I'm 33, married and live in Singapore.

I found Silk Naturals by accident. I was googling and reading about mineral makeup and then I chanced upon someone's forum post about their customizable, silky, awesome coverage SN foundation. I had had had to find out more.

I'm still trying to find the perfect blend of my foundation recipe, but so far, I am so utterly in love with the Sleep In A Jar and the Pristine Perfecting Powder. PPP can't be seen, but for some reason, my face just looks that touch more dewy and glowing. Not enough to scream "YOU GOT MAKE UP ON!" but enough for my hubby to say, "hey, which moisturiser you used? I want to try."

I love cats. I have a moggle called Jellicle. She walked into my house as a kitten (I lived in an apartment on the 10th floor) and changed my life forever. I was so afraid of animals. Now, I can cuddle anything that is furry and moves. Not rats. not spiders... ok, I can cuddle anything that is furry, moves and is generally recognized as a pet.

The thing that impresses me most about SN is people like Jen & Karen!

Karen, you really exemplify putting the customer first and believing that a great product will sell itself. I watched a youtube review where this customer said you hand wrote her a letter after a shipping mistake happened twice and I thought: wow, this person really takes the time and cares! I am a diehard loyal convert!

Jen's got such an expert eye for colour and all that effort it takes to swatch and answer questions (same ones over and over!)... wow... I haven't found another forum for a mmu brand that is as passionate and friendly as this one!

Faith, I'm so glad you found this topic!!! I found SN about a couple months ago or so and haven't introduced myself yet. So here it goes, lol. My name is Marina, which is a Russian name since I'm from a big Russian family. We came to the US when I was just a little girl, so I grew up here and even started school here. I fell in love with and married a great American guy who's in the military, been married a little over 5 years now and have two beautiful children. They're still toddlers so I'm a stay-at-home mom and love it! Right now we're in NC which is awesome because I get my packages from SN pretty fast! :D I first heard about SN from the EDM forum; one of the ladies was saying how much she loved the foundation, it wasn't as drying and the coverage was great. I wasn't completely satisfied with EDM so I decided to check out SN and I'm so glad I did! I haven't looked back since. :D Currently I'm still playing around with finding exactly the right amount of ivory, but so far I think I'm 1 scoop WG to 14 scoops medium ivory. I have to say, I am completely hooked on SN lippies!!! I already have about 13 lippies (a couple of them are doubles that I want to give to my family) and I already have 8 more sitting in the shopping cart!

Hello all,
My name is fairyfli, and I live in Washington state. I am currently studying to be a k-8 teacher. ( will be done in June yipppee) I have just recently tried silk naturals after being a very faithful member of BE. I have loved my samples of the foundation and am still playing to get the right ratio. I was a fairly light in BE but it was a bit to pink for me.. I have light skin with some pink but I can also tan sometimes and have a bit of oliveness to skin so it is a bit a confusing I know. What I love about silk naturals is the perfecting powders, and the chance to create your own foundation. I also love that it does not make me itchy and that there are levels of coverage... I also love the unredness... I definitely ordered a jar of that! I have been looking around on the boards for about a week now and have realized how nice you all seem to be so I am excited to join a forum and talk about makeup. I am a makeup junkie! :D I placed a pretty big order of things and can not wait to try the eyeshadows that morph into other colors those look like so much fun. I also can not wait for Karen to post the new items for the holidays! I am so excited! Anyways that is me in a nut shell at the moment...
talk to you girls later,
Fairyfli

Hi Everyone

I only discovered the forum page a week ago and im here to introduce myself. My Name is Shanna im 22 and I am from Canada. I am a spokes person persay in my town for silk naturals, that meaning I can never stop talking about it. I am studying at the conservatory of music to be a jazz singer and have one of my first big performances in a few days and I will be wearing silk naturals. I need to look good in front of audiences so it is very important to having a good makeup. I have a few friends buying and hopefully more people will begin to purchase it and see how nice it is for themselves. I have tried many different types of makeup before and naver really been satisfied. I tried Sheer cover and I was not inpressed. Needless to say I was searching on the net for mineral makeup and ran across the name Silk naturals. The first time I tried it I actually didn't like it that much, I think its because at that time there wasnt an option for light, medium, or heavy foundation. I recently bought the Heavy foundation and I love it its so light but covers so well. After buying the foundation I splurged and bought the brush set which is an amazing deal. And only a few months later I have about 20 different silk naturals products and I only ever have good things to say about them. I think the Silk natural prices are amazing and I LOVE the fact that they send refills in baggies, its really noble to help the environment and not many makeup companies care about the environment. Nice to meet everyone on the forum, well be in touch
Shanna :D

I'm Sandra, also from Singapore (it seems like there are a fair number of us here, considering how tiny a country Singapore is). I'm Chinese and in my twenties.

I didn't think mineral makeup was for me, until I found Silk Naturals. :D My must-have products are the foundation and Perfecting Powder; the peach Sleep in a Jar and oil control primer are great, too. I intend to keep buying those as long as Karen keeps making them!
