SO I did my makeup today, went a bit heavier on the foundation to really test the colour.. and I think you were right Jen. I think I need just a smidge of yellow, which shocks me. I have samples of Buttery Gold and Warm Gold in my cart now. I'm wearing the 1 Ebony: 9 Ivory. I was thinking 1 Ebony: 0.5 Warm Gold: 0.5 Perfecting Powder: 8 Ivory What do you think? Here's a sample of the pictures:

I don`t usually post, but I could use some help. I`ve been using EDM:s multi-tasking or cool fair base in intensive, so I should go with ebony, shouldn`t I? And medium coverage as I have some acne and scarring I`d like to hide.
In my whole life, I`ve never been able to pick a good lipstick, do you have any ideas? I would simply like to get them a tad redder, but not to strong since I feel that my eyes disappear then, as they are really light. Usually I only wear some kind of chapstick -I am an addict- my lips get dry fast.
Any ideas for rouge? Without shimmer. EDM:s once and again has worked, but it would be nice with something in the same base as the foundation.Trying to add a picture...

I'm assuming you are correct on your ebony assumption, but don't quote me on that. I would wait for one of the foundation experts to chime in on that one.
I wear Sandy Fair in EDM, and I have both Flirt and Embrace blushes in SN. They are both matte, and they are both described as neutrals. Lady, Petal, and Tart Light are all three listed as cool-toned, matte blushes, so those would probably be good places to start too.
I'm not touching the lipstick question because I don't generally wear lipstick, and I don't have any from SN. I'm sure someone else will be able to chime in and help.
Thanks for suggestions on rouge. I`ll start with a sample of embrace, as I´m a bit afraid of pink.

You look fine in the pic, though pictures don't tell the whole story. The cool thing about SN is that you can play with your shades and tweak them as necessary.
First - set aside a bit of what you've got now in a little jar (an old ES pot or something) so you've got a comparison to get back to in case you do mess it up - though really it's not that difficult to play with once you find a good base shade. Or you can just use that small sample to play with.
I put in a dash of warm gold with my foundation, but just a dash - it's darker than ebony is. I usually do 1 tsp ivory (32 scoops), 2 scoops of ebony, and a half scoop of warm gold - though come this time of year I have to throw in a bit more ivory cos I get paler. Half-scoop of warm gold equals about 1 scoop of ebony.
If you want to play around with it, I'd add a half scoop of warm gold and a couple more scoops of ivory (go slow, in other words, and add a little at a time so you can see if you're going in the right direction - a decent-size flat brush worth across your forehead and leave it set for 15 minutes to see how it looks on you). If that doesn't work and you want to go back to the plain ebony (again in the pic it looks fine, but pictures can be deceiving), then add a bit more ivory and ebony to correct until you get back to the shade that your set-aside sample is - the warm gold won't be very noticeable in a larger batch.
If you want throw in some perfecting powder, too. That's easier because it's not very heavy. Though if you're going to really play around with it, you might want to make just enough for a few applications - then if it turns out badly it's easier to correct, or you can just toss it (losing ten scoops of foundation isn't worth crying over and can usually be corrected - a whole jar, OTOH....).
Days when I'm rushed or lazy, I skip foundation and use DateBait on its own. And I made a small jar of peach foundation - it doesn't suit me at all in normal conditions, but it looks much better than my regular foundation if I'm spending a day under flourescent lights.
You look good where you are. But by all means play - that's half the fun

Hi!! I also need some foundation help!! I bought a harmony sample kit a few months ago, but I really don't have any idea og how to mix. I don't know my undertones so that is probably why I am so confused
Here is a pic of me

Yeah that's what I thought SweetBecka, it looked a bit like that in person, but the camera really brought it out. Since I work under fluorescent lighting, which reacts on your skin similar to camera flash, it's not something I want to leave lol! My skin isn't very nice, it's the makeup, but thank you.
Rhys- is the 32 scoops formula for a full jar, or just the base amount? I'm always shocked to see 20s/30s in people's formulas.

BFA, I think you'll be amazed at what that little bit of Warm gold will do. I added 0.5 to my 1 Olive, 15 Ivory and it did exactly what I needed it to do -- I think! haven't done it full face but from the swatches across my arms and neck, lol, it appears near perfect!
But you look great in the pic so even if it doesn't work, I think that would work for you -- and I want your skin!!
