Sorry, I seem to be falling behind....
jennifae,
I don't think Olive will cut it. There really is no yellow in it. YTou should be good with Buttery Gold....or Warm Gold. Buttery is my first choice. Try 1 scoop color : about 4 Ivory. Use about the same ratio for Warm Gold.
Nancynce,
I have heard the Intensive gals like our Medium coverage. Beige Light Medium has a pretty good balance of undertones. We have had others who used that base find Warm Gold too yellow. I suggest starting with Ebony 1:7, but this is based more on the color you used. Your pic seems much fairer that that, so you might need more Ivory(white). If the Ebony mix is not yellow enough, add a half scoop of Warm Gold and another 3 Ivory.
Lisa,
I think you look more Warm Gold than Ebony. Try Warm Gold 1 scoop color : 6. If it is too yellow, we can do kind of the opposite of Nancyne and add a liitle Ebony plus a few more Ivory.

Jen, thank you...... I am being a little dense because this is all new to me. Would I order a starter kit of warm gold and of ebony?... and did you mean 1 scoop of warm gold to 6 scoops of ivory?... I have visions of my mixing an abhorrent mess and throwing it through a window

.... I think I need simple one word answers...... Thank you for your forbearance.......... Lisa xx

No problem, Lisa. I know our foundation is not the norm, so I have no problems answering any questions you might have.
I would start with a samples of Warm Gold and Ebony. Also, for ease of mixing, I would start with the Original formula.

This is a link to the silk formula page.....I know there are too many options for what to choose. I would buy the Perfect Harmony Foundation Sample Kit. It runs the same price as the parts that you need seperately, and it is possible the Olive might work better for you than what I have suggested.
http://www.silknaturals.com/creb/index.php?cPath=35_141
This is a link to the vegan samples....I think the Vegan Perfect Harmony Foundation Kit is on the second page.
These kits come with a jar and a small scoop. The scoop is very similar to measuring spoons in your kitchen. 1 scoop Warm Gold and 6 scoops of the White.....I usually level the spoon off on the side of the baggie, and then tap it into the jar. Once all the scoops are in, I put on the lid and shake. I prefer to wait on adding the sifter until the mix is right. It is a bear to get those things off if you need to adjust the color. Then you are ready to give it a test run.

Lisa, I think those will be good for you. I'm kicking myself for not adding Ebony to my first order. The Warm Gold is just a tad yellow and I think the Ebony will help that:) Jen, did you see my question on page 15 re: if I decide to remove the Date Bait altogether if Ebony would take it's place? Thanks!

eliz1-
Yes the Ebony should help at about half the amount of Date Bate.....really the Date Bate is just thinning the color out a little and counteracting a tad of the yellow.
So as a final mix since your 1:8 in Warm Gold was a little light, try 1WarmGold:0.5 Ebony:about 9 Ivory.....or if that is too yellow 1Ebony:.5Warm Gold:8 Ivory. (Warm Gold runs a tad darker).
I really thought I answered, but I must have gotten distracted. Thank you so much for reminding me. Reminders are good on this thread.

OK I mixed up my foundation 1ebony:9ivory, took 2 minutes, and only two tests to get what looks to both me and the beau to be a perfect match (natural and artificial light)
I was going to add a scoop of perfecting powder as it really really helped my nose look small and less pore-y, but will that lighten it again? If so I'll use up the mix I made and do another 1ebony:1perfecting:8ivory

Just to be on the safe side....go with the 1ebony:1perfecting:8ivory next time. Adding the Perfecting now will only lighten it a small percent, but it might be enough to make it look too light.
