No problem, hon - always happy to enable...I mean help! :D

I think you'll like the foundation a lot. Good coverage, but it never goes cakey. Stays put til you take it off, too!

After I post this- I'm putting my order in but I need some advice. I'm going with a bunch of samples to check it out. I have brown hair and brown eyes. I have no idea how to check my undertones. But it BE I wore Medium and that made me look gray after a few hours and the Beige Medium was too dark and too orange. I have not found a makeup since my HG foundation was discontinued by Lancome a few years ago. My skin has changed since then (it has been a while) I suffer break outs now, probably from the Bismuth in some makeup. So I need coverage for this and I have really dark under eye circles. Every time I try to conceal those, I end up with them looking worse (gray) and dried out under the eye. I have tried every concealer out there and they all failed.

I do love Nars Orgasm blush but it makes me itch. So I can't wait to try climax (and everything else).

I want full coverage in a make up but not so full that I look fake. Mineral makeups never seem to have a good deal of coverage so I'm really looking forward to this. I have read on here that alot of people start with the original and move up. But the thing is, anything "buildable" has never worked for me. So do you suggest starting with medium and if that doesn't work- try heavy??? I also would have no idea where to start with colors.
Here are some pictures but unfortunately none of them are during a breakout. They are the only non makeup pics I have. I will include one with makeup so you can see as well. Please ignore the beer and the stupid face... The make up I'm wearing in the pic is pur (makes me itch and break out too) the color is blush medium.

How do you all choose with the beautiful eyeshadows- LOL- there are so many and they all look amazing!

Thanks in advance for the help.
I couldn't get the upload thing to work here so these links will take you to the pics.

Danni-
My first guess is Olive, and second is Warm Gold. The reason I think Olive first is how you looked next to your friend in the last pic. She would definitely be a Warm Gold, and you don't have as much yellow as she does.

Yes, you can just start with the Medium Coverage. It might take a little more patience for a match, but I really don't think you will need 2 color bases like some. I think in Olive- 1 Olive:9 or 10 Ivory....in Warm Gold- 1 Warm Gold:6 to 7 Ivory. Heavy might be an option for you, too, but start with the Medium. It would not hurt to pick up a sample pouch of the Heavy now if you think you might be headed there. What kind of brush do you use for application? Sometimes it is in the tools....a flat top brush will give heavier coverage.

Undereyes...this one is hard for everyone. What were the colors in the concealers you tried? Concealers that are too light will tend to look grayish. I have had that trouble, too. I can only recommend samples of the Peach Sleep in a Jar. I use Light Peach when I use it and I am fairer than you. Sleep in a Jar Medium would be the right shade. If you don't need color correcting as much, some of our customers mix a slightly lighter shade of Heavy Coverage for a concealer.

Also, skip Climax....and try Satisfied. It is just a more pigmented version of that blush for your medium toned skin. Climax will be too pale for you.

Eyeshadows...that is tough to narrow down. Do you like very shimmery, matte, more pearly? Then I would narrow from there. Neutrals? Greens? Pinks? Etc? I tend to be a highlight color or one color wash plus dramatic liner type. And I will throw in a crease color if I have time.

Jen was posting same time as me, and she got you. A few more recs for undereye concealer - if you have problems with it caking, the original yellow Sleep in a Jar is sheerer than the Peach ones. Sample - it's cheap, and it doesn't do a bad job.

Holy Crow (a sort of instant magic wrinkle remover) helps too, especially in plumping up your undereye area - and it seems to give the illusion of more moisture, fewer lines, and less blue and purple - for me anyway. Again, 99 cents to try, and probably worth it - if it doesn't do it alone, it'll at least give a little more glide to the Sleep in a Jar.

Or if you need ES primer, the one Karen's got is HUGE, will last as an eyeshadow primer for years, and you can also dot it on dark circles. It looks white in the picture, but it's really a very light beige. But I can understand not wanting to spend $9.50 on it. Still way cheaper than UDPP, if you use it at all.

I get cakey trying to cover under eye circles too. Mostly I've been sticking with Holy Crow and sometimes a touch of primer so far this winter, and it's working pretty well.

Thanks Jen and Rhys- I appreciate the help.
I was thinking olive too. As far as concealers- I have tried mostly yellows and beiges and they both looked the same- chalky and gray. I guess they were too light.

The peach with the serum sounds like a good idea. I might sample the yellow too since it's sheer.

Thanks for the blush recommendation too. Sometimes it's hard to tell with the internet.
I'll try the medium and get some heavy too.

As far as eyeshadow, I'm a big purple fan. Many times good purples are hard to find they look flat or are too sheer, I could go on. ;)
The purples here look awesome. I like browns and grays, shimmery and matte. I like to change it up. I have always been afraid to try green but people tell me it would look good. I'm definitely not a blue girl though not that brave. LOL

I'll let you guys know what I order. I'm still having trouble deciding on eyes and lips. ;) This is already fun.
What's even more great is that I stumbled on this site looking for a new BHA that was cheaper, my skin is really suffering without it. I found it here for half the cost and it has better ingredients. Go figure.

Anyway, thanks again and I'll let you know what goodies are coming my way.

Thanks again for your great tips. I'll be around later lurking there is a lot of info on this forum.

Hi there, I need a bit of help. I think I am close to my mix, but I haven't a lot of trouble getting the minerals to mix thoroughly. When I swatch it the ebony is streaky. To mix it I've be shaking the jar vigorously. What does everyone else do? Jen do you have any recs?

Not Jen, but some folks have better luck by mixing foundation in a ziplock baggie - shake til well blended.

I think I found my mix! 14 ivory, 1 ebony, 1 glow. :) I will try it all over face tomorrow. I currently wear Cool-Fair in o-glo at EDM. Hopefully it is right, or close!
