I really am curious how Combustion would look on a warm girl. I want to get this one but Karen said it might look pinkish on some girl, while I'd rather have it lean more orange on me. Anyone can help me with this? I can't wait to check out. Lol.

I finally tried it. While my skintone is more neutral than warm, it looks orangey red on me, but still more in the red family. It is definitley more orange than Crimson on the lips. I do have fairly pinkish lips. If your lips are pinkish, I might be concerned, but if your lips lean more brown, it might work. If Combustion was not orange enough, I bet Cayenne would be better. Remember that my arm is fair to light neutral, and not anywhere close to lip color.
In doing a Google search for this color, I do get a bunch of pics of a fair, cool-toned blonde (I am guessing she is Poppy King). The color that comes out looking like a corally red on her will not likely look the same on you even though it might still be flattering (Universally flattering does not mean it will look the same on a fair blonde than it does on an olive toned woman with dark hair). You might have to think along the lines of needing more yellow in the color to look that reddish orange on you, which would result in a more orangey lipstick. Does that make any sense?

Thanks a lot Jen for the long explanation. I do get what you mean. I do not expect such "universal flattering" lipstick to look exactly the same on me as on everybody else, but I still can't pull garishly pinkish red!
I know that for sure because I had this one Polly Pocket toy, the Salon edition, where it has mini bottle of nail polish and mini lipstick in the color of, you guess it, pinkish red. Excited of course, but when I tried it on I did look like a little clown. From that moment on, I never succeed to work with such color.
Thanks to you and Maeva, I'm ordering right away! KISSES!
