Will the foundation ratio change if I switch to the medium coverage?
The answer to this is yes, but only slightly. Usually, you will need a scoop or two less of the white in your ratio.

I don't use SN foundations coz it didn't work well with my skin last time. However, today, I had the urge to play around with my much neglected powders and actually came up with my perfect match on first try!
Not sure if my recipe is considered rare but here it is:
4 scoops Heavy Coverage Ivory
1/2 scoop Buttery Gold
2 scoops Yellow Booster
I'm Chinese and most medium golden foundations just fall short on my skin, often resulting in a slightly ashy/grey undertone. As you could tell from the above recipe, I have LOTSA yellow on my skin. This oh-so-near perfect custom shade + SN's good coverage without cakiness is totally a winner. Not to mention the formulation is soooooo blendable and natural looking on my face, like OMG! Love, love, LOVE! Looks like I'm discovering SN makeup all over again

my face is much lighter than my body... hmft... been experimenting with my SN loot again but I still haven't found a good mixture. I want my face to look a bit darker than it is so it wouldn't look so weird.
will try to post a picture that'll show you guys my actual complexion ---- should I wear a white shirt and get a picture taken when I'm outside? or inside the house? flash or no flash?

please help... sorry, I rotated the pix but when I uploaded them to photobucket they didn't turn out right
this is me

what skin tone do I have? any advice on which tinted base to use? warm or buttery gold?
you can see a bit of my arms... I don't want to just match the shade of my face.
my arm ***the rest of my body is this shade or darker (I'm not out in the sun all the time and I rarely wear sleeveless shirts and shorts but my skin never lightens---except for my face)

leaper84-
I think Buttery Gold will be too yellow and Warm Gold might be too pink. Do you have Olive? Olive will be about 1scoop color to about 6 Ivory. Another thing you could try is to swatch the full strength color bases on your jawline with an eyeshadow brush. Choose the one that seems to match the best (even though it will be too dark). I am thinking that Buttery Gold and Warm Gold might also be a little on the pale side for you. Ideally, you want to have a ratio of 1 scoop color to 1 or more scoops of white.

yeah, I was thinking Buttery gold would be too yellow... Ebony was too pink and Warm gold---sometimes it looked ok but yeah, sometimes it was too pink. I don't have Olive

I have Ivory, Warm Gold and sample bags of butter foundation color corrector, Ebony and Buttery Gold. hmmm... guess I should go check if you guys ship to Vietnam

my last haul was sent to my aunt in LA then brought to the Phils. haha. but I'm in Vietnam at the moment.

never really considered Olive as my shade because I'm Asian... so I figured Gold

and I always look like a glow-in-the-dark toy when I get out of the cinema/air-conditioned rooms.

It is possible that one of the ones you mentioned
will work better. Pictures only tell me part of the story, and I can be wrong. The best judge is usually someone who is there. I would choose a girlfriend (or even a guy friend) who is into color or makeup. Definitely try the full strength color on your skin to see which goes best.

full strength? you mean not use Ivory for color swatches?
