Hi,

I ordered a sample kit, it hasn't arrived yet but I'd like your opinion, since my skin is quite pale it's hard for me to find a good match.

Also, how can I take the pictures down once I get a reply?

Thank you

I will take the pics down....

I think you will be an Ebony...close to 1 scoop color to about 10-12 white scoops. You might also need a pop of yellow, but try the Ebony first. If you are able to tell me what is not quite right, I can help you fix it.

Interesting, usually I feel better with yellow toned foundations. I'll play with the samples and see what I end up with. Thank you!

Sorry, I have no pictures of myself right now that really show my face up close and my camera hasn't been working right so I'm waiting to get it replaced - but I know my perfect match in a different company so hopefully that will work. My current foundation (which I'm running out of) is BareFaced Minerals's Velvet Plush in Y1.5. SN is one of the recommendations for a replacement foundation I received, and I have to admit that so far I like what I've heard..... now I'm just hoping to get some specific recommendations to help with picking a formula and blending my own color. Really I would appreciate any information that can help point me in the right direction.

I really like the somewhat heavier coverage (some people describe it as medium) and "creaminess" of the foundation I use now. I would have to describe my coloring as mostly yellow, very pale, but there seems to be a slight neutral as well (some of the veins through the skin of my underarm appear blue, but most appear green) - I have received compliments wearing earth tones, jewel tones, gold jewelry, and silver jewelry. When I was wearing liquid foundation I usually had to worry about too much orange or pink when wearing "neutral" or "ivory" from many companies, so I think my skin tone is mostly yellow especially on my face & neck.

Any recommendations I would give would be a guess other than trying the yellow toned bases. I would try Buttery Gold, Olive, and Yellow Booster. You will probably want the All Purpose foundation. Yor ratios will be in the 1 scoop color to around 10 in Buttery Gold, and 1 scoop color to around 20 in Olive. I wish I could be more specific.

Thanks Jen - given how little I could give you right now to go on, you were definitely specific enough. I'll give the Buttery Gold a try first (with the All Purpose sample kit) and go from there. If I run into any problems, at least I'll be able to give you a better reference to work from. ;)

i need foundation help, please! :?

I'm about to place an order for a starter kit, and i'm unsure of what recipe to use once it arrives. I plan on also ordering a sample of the peach color, as well as the ebony, warm gold, olive, and buttery gold.

i'm including a few photos for reference. i find them all to be pretty accurate. in all of them i'm wearing no face MU.

i'm more freckled in this one, not so freckly now.

I am thinking wither Warm Gold or Olive. I know it might not sound right, but I do think you have a slightly warm skintone. For Warm Gold about a 1 scoop color to around 10 white. In Olive, 1 scoop color to about 14 white. I do think Warm Gold will be closest.
