As I am surrounded with a bunch of experts here at the forum I thought I might ask You what You think my undertones are, looking at some photos taken during summer, with a little bit more color to make up a mind about.

They are a few years old and I don´t have that platinum blond hair (thank god!) anymore, just my natural blond hair.
One is with makeup (and not enought shine control  ) and one is without make-up.

I have all base colors at home but I find it very difficult to decide undertones. What do You think ebony or what?

Thanks
I do think you are neutral on the cool side. However, when we get sun, we all tend to golden up which can turn your undertones more warm. I do think Ebony....but I would try it with some Warm Gold in the summer months, and maybe a little yellow booster in the cooler months? The reason I think it needs additional color, is that the Ebony might be a little flat on you by itself.

I have a quick mixing question. I've been wearing the All Purpose foundation for a while and love it :D
I want to add some of the zinc powder into my mix, and since I am unfortunately bad at math and don't want to screw up my mix, I wanted to ask and be sure. I don't want change the coverage too too much, but want it a little lighter weight, so maybe 2-3 scoops? I don't know how much that changes my ratio. Right now, I use 14 APF:1 Olive:1 Yellow CB: a tiny bit of Green Color Booster (less than 1/2 a scoop).

Thanks! :D
Actually, the color should be more forgiving if you lighten the coverage. I would start by subbing about 4 scoops APF for Zinc. If it is too dark, addd 2 more Zinc. Essentially, the Zinc lacks the white backdrop for the colors and might look darker on than your original mix. It still should be pretty close.

If you were hoping to just add Zinc to your current mix.....I think it needs to be at least 25% as much as the APF to notice a real difference in the coverage. (And this is an educated guess, just based on what I know about how they both perform seperately). I would also be afraid that adding enough Zinc to notice a coverage difference might lighten your color mix a little.

Thanks! I will try it out. Don´t have any yellow booster right now and it isn´t the cooler months right now but I am still wondering: How different is the yellow booster compaired to buttery gold (have that one at home)? Could I use that one equal to yellow booster?

There is an significant brown component in Buttery Gold, where Yellow Booster is just yellow. Maybe try it, though. You will need less Ebony. The reason I am leaning Warm Gold, is you definitely have peach going on in the pic where you are tan......

Hello Jen!

I've ordered SN a while ago and couldn't find a decent mix since then. Have tried to stick to warm gold but end up looking greyish which I don't like at all. Which mix could you recommend? I live in tropics and tend to get more and less ten from time to time. Also would love some advice about the lipstick. I like natural red-brown colors, pinks normally look awful on me. Lips are not pigmented...
Thanks in advance!

I think you need more yellow. Try buttery Gold at about 1:6 (1 scoop color to 6 white)

For lips try Fig Leaf, Nectar, St. Tropez (liquid), Nude Beach (shimmer)

Change my foundation?

Hello,

I got recommended the combination 1 scoop warm gold, and seven scoops of the white. It has worked well, but now i feel a bit greyish? Dead? Do you recommend another combination for me?

Thanks,
L

What you have in the pic looks good, but I know things look different in real life at times. Which white are you using? I don't think you will get a better match with another color base, but you might need to adjust the white. Sometimes just adding a bronzer over the top helps, or you might benifit from adding Date Bait to your foundation. I guess what I am saying is that adding in a little pink would probably be a better solution than yellow.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to try a different color, the closest color to Warm Gold that might work is Olive. You will probably need it at about 1:10.

Thank you! I am not sure of what foundation I'm wearing on the picture.. :? ... I totally forgot that I can change the white! I have the medium coverage now. Maybe switch to Original? A friend of mine told me that you have something called All purpose now?

Of the three options, which one do you think would be the best? Change to Olive, Original Cover or All Purpose?

Thanks a lot for your always quick response! :D

I forgot a question... I'm considering Pout, Delacoeur, Centerfold, Ambrosia, Bisou, Bloom and Creampuff for my lips. I know some of them are on the cooler side. Will they work anyway? I like the colours when I check out the swatches, but anyway.... What do you think?

Sugar is to cool for me. Rhapsody is too much colour.

I like Mirage, Cultured, Peace, Foreplay, Ginny, Maiden and St Tropez.
