Karen will have a product similar to Philosophy's Vit. C powder. It has been in testing for a while and will go into the skincare line as soon as it is all ready. However, the brush on version is just that......to be brushed on after your moisturizer in the evening.

Can you use it in the daytime? I guess so. I really tend to stay away from putting anything remotely close to citrus on my face when I will be out in the sun. I am not sure exactly what is the culprit in the citrus family, but citrus type preparations generally increase photosensitivity. That really just means you might burn more easily in the sun. I have enough sun damage and I don't really want any more.

I just caught this one- and I'm very sorry for the delay. It's perfectly safe/acceptable/good for you to wear the brush on Vitamin C day & night if you wish. You can apply it on top of moisturizer, and I think it actually works better with some sort of oil already on the skin. Technically it is an acid but the pH isn't as low as some forms of vitamin c- so it doesn't tend to sting. I'd recommend trying it at night the first few times.

No- citrus essential oils generally aren't good for your skin because they have terpenes in them that make your skin more sensitive to the sun, but Vitamin C powder isn't really at all related, and actually helps repair sun damage.

Just thought I'd mention that I added the Vit C powder into my foundation mix. I don't know if there's a difference yet because I only started on this new mix just now. So far, it hasn't done anything unwanted to the foundation mix. My face feels just as silky smooth. Love Love Love SN's foundation.

I saw the thread introducing the new "Gumballs" category on the SN website. Love the concept.

So I read the products description for the Vit C powder:
All you do is mix a little scoop (the same one that comes with our foundation) with your moisturizer in the morning, and apply it to your face. It stings, but that's how you know it's working. If you have sensitive skin, or turn red easily it may be better to use it as a night treatment.
So I thought: Ahh! Mix it WITH the moisturizer! I was just dusting it on.

So I just went a mixed it with my moisturizer... erm, still no stinging. Does it mean its not working? Or I've got skin that's tougher than a cows hide?
It likes to pull moisture from the air and get clumpy- so make sure the bag is well sealed between uses- don't transfer it to a jar, it really doesn't like to be in jars.
Oh, my sample came in a jar. Is that why its gotten a tad clumpy? And doesn't sting?
