kahani, i don't use the velcro bag or a corkboard but i do use a magnetic marker board. They come in different sizes and styles and if you want to "prettyify" them,, you can cover them in patterened contact paper or acrylic paint. Then I bought a bunch of self adhesive round 1" magnets (i bought a lot of 100 on ebay but they have similar ones at walmart) and stuck them on the backs of all my jars. Works great and then they're on the wall not my shelves.

Wow sam, that's a brilliant idea. Far more hassle free than the cork=board notion. Hmm... *starts plotting next arts and craft project*

mikie: thanks for that earlier compliment. I was in a bit of a rush at the time and didn't see it. =) Love your bubbly enthusiasm btw.

Kahani,
Your cork board idea is good, too. If you also had the roll, you would be ready to travel at a moments notice. Unroll your bag, pull your 'necessities' off the board and place on the strips in the roll. Off you go with your makeup in tow. I do also think the roll is able to be hung on the wall itself and has a zipper pouch for brushes and whatnot.

Hey Jen, I think the roll is brilliant and will probably invest in it sometime for travel. For daily use however, I can see problems with pulling something off a velcro surface that isn't tacked to the wall.It would be a two-handed process I'm guessing, something I'm not good at when in a mad dash to get out the door.

I was also assuming that Mikey's collection is too vast for the roll. =)

Does the palette have dividers in front so the colors don't mix when lid's closed or do you have to put the extra back into each well? I live in an apt. w/ my dh and wall space is at a premium, not to mention counter space. The br is both of ours but of course I take up all the counter space w/ those little sterlite stackable drawers-the mmu is divided by colors w/ blushes in a separate drawer. I love the magnetic board idea, but wall space is non-existant. Janet.
