You are exactly right. By depth, I mean the ratio of base color to Ivory. And that varies greatly for me. I can be 1:7 in summer, and 1:12 in winter.

Sure, Starlight! No problem.

I have tried mixing my bases together, and I know it works incredibly well for some. I even recommend premixing bases for those who use a blend of color base. It makes easy mixing down the line.

The beauty is......you can absolutely do what works best for you. And, if you need to change exactly what that is tomorrow, you can.

I thought this answered your question, but I can add some more detail.

Yes. You can defintiely mix some Ebony into your WG and Ivory mix. Many do blend the color bases in their foundaiton mix and it works wonderfully well. If you do tweak your foundation with Ebony, you might need a little more Ivory, too.

If you are 1WG:5Ivory, start with adding a half soop Ebony plus 1 or 2 more Ivory. Half sccops are tough, but just get as close as you can. Once you are done testing and make a bigger batch, it can be easily worked into your formula by premixing your color base color.
