I think more brushes are in the works. As for a sealent, I am not sure. Generally, if it is available at a reasonable price elsewhere and Karen cannot improve upon the formulation, she may not choose to sell this. However, if enough people wanted it, she would get some. I have just used eyedrops from the drugstore in the past and that has worked pretty well.Autumn wrote:I would like to see an eye liner sealant. Also I would like to see more eye liner brushes (brushes in general). I am wanting a smudger eye liner brush. I love the ulltimate eye shadow brush.

Re: Any interest in gel liners?????
Is the eyeliner sealant available for a reasonable price elsewhere? And for us girls not in the US? I was really excited over the eyeliner sealant and will be heartbroken if Karen doesn't sell it. Especially if it makes my eyeliner stay PUT around my oily lids. EVERYTHING smudges, yet I must must must wear eyeliner or I have no eyes. Can you feel my pain?
Re: Any interest in gel liners?????
Karen is still testing the gel liners. They may even make the cut to go in one of the MOAC waves. Autumn was asking for a liner sealant: it has a similar consistency to eyedrops like Visine, even though the ingredients are different. Many mineral makeup companies currently offer liner sealant. Some people just use Visine or something similar for the same purpose.Kahani wrote:Is the eyeliner sealant available for a reasonable price elsewhere? And for us girls not in the US? Re: Any interest in gel liners?????
Jen,
That makes me so excited to hear that the gel liners made the cut! I've been meaning to order some new ones in different colors as I love a bare lid with eyeliner & mascara for summer. I've just been trying to decide to go with MAC again or one of the ones from a MMUCo.
Glad I didn't already get a bunch somewhere else! That way I can buy up Karen's when they come out!
ps any idea when the next "wave" will come?
Thanks!

SeaPupp-
I really have to be honest in that I am not sure they will be a part of the MOAC. I do know that Sue at SN loves them and I do to. I am hoping that is enough to encourage them to be released soon. One thing that is done once a good formulation is discovered, is to check if the recipe is repeatable. Karen is nearing the 'repeatablitity' phase on this one to make sure the product is sound, and what you receive as a customer is either the same or better than the testers. Patience. It will be worth it.
As for the next wave, they have been out of the office since Thursday. They need to fill out orders from the first wave and possibly restock those items. Then the newer items have to be made and packaged and loaded onto the website. I am hoping it is less than two weeks, but it might not be that quick. Luckily the site is done and once Karen whips up the goodies, they are all pros at packaging and shipping. The site was the big challenge in the first wave.

Re: Any interest in gel liners?????
It's looking like we're going to have some this week- I did the fine-tuning today, and will make the production runs of the first few colors this week. We're really into them around the office- Jamie won't use pencils anymore, and I've ditched the MAC gel liner I had been using as my "gold standard" in comparison tests, and Sue has moved over to them as well. I'm pretty sure Jen's a fan too.
They are oil based- so they're kind of like a creamier version of a liner pencil- and they're 100% natural, and over 60% organic- with no preservatives or silicones. They're smudgeable so you don' t have to have that harsh, defined line (although you can get that too), they don't dry-out, you don't have to use a crazy brush cleaner on your brushes after you're done, and if you set them with Perfecting Powder they'll last as long as you need them to (I've slept in them several times with no running).
I'm excited for them- and I'm hoping to start selling them on Thursday or Friday this week. We'll probably do 4-5 colors to start, and then go from there!

Re: Any interest in gel liners?????
These sound great - I have one of the gel liners that some mmu companies are selling that are kind of like the BB gel liners. I like it - but I can make a mess of it rather quickly if I'm not meticulous about my application so I am hoping for these to be a little more user-friendly. Are you all using the liner end of the dual ended e/s brush to apply these?
Re: Any interest in gel liners?????
I would be more interested in a product to mix with pigments to get any color liner I choose, the gel liners are a pain for me and dry up before I can use them up, seems like such a waste!
Re: Any interest in gel liners?????
Karen's formulation is quite different from traditional gel liners. Hers are 100% natural and oil based. They will not dry out.duhmoms wrote:I would be more interested in a product to mix with pigments to get any color liner I choose, the gel liners are a pain for me and dry up before I can use them up, seems like such a waste!

Re: Any interest in gel liners?????
Of course! That is a great liner brush. I do set it with Perfecting Powder using another brush, though. I use the foiling brush. It is perfect for the job and is more flat than an eyeshadow brush. An eyeshadow brush would work, too.krenee wrote: Are you all using the liner end of the dual ended e/s brush to apply these?
