Same for me: I like to wash my hair with water as much as I can before I put anything in it, and used to massage the shampoo and conditioner into my scalp as well. The only difference may be that I only left shampoos on my hair for 2-3 mins when they were some sort of treatment, like to bring out the red in my highlights or to soothe my itchy scalp. I can deal with the extra 2-3 mins, because because that means less weird products put into hair to make it look as pretty as this one does. So what I lose on water I gain on some relaxation and able to ditch not so natural crap and time to add that to hair latertizzylou wrote:It does take more product than regular shampoo and conditioner, however, I don't think that it takes me more time. I rinse my hair really well when I first get in the shower, work the product through my hair massaging my scalp and then rinse, I then apply for the second time, massage well and comb through, I then finish my shower and rinse my hair out. I have washed my hair this way, even when using regular conditioner and shampoo, and have always combed my conditioner though and let it sit while I finished showering, so the time is the same for me.

I'm experimenting with going two days or perhaps three and do the ponytail and dry shampoo thing on the third, and try not to fully wash my hair again just do the second bit on the forth. We'll see. It really helps that I brush my hair upside down with a boar brush before going to sleep to distribute the natural oils.
