If the cap is still on, I can only think the part where it screws together loosened up in your purse. I have not tried carrying mine around yet. I wish I had a solution for you.

I got my new dispensing brush in my last order and had a similar experience. I was going to suggest for that Karen and Jen put together a “Dispenser Brush for Dummies” instruction sheet. The first time I reached for my brush it was partially unscrewed, I think I did not tighten it enough and when trying to snap the cap in place I may have turned it back half a turn. Since the first near accident it has been fine.

I keep mine in a small ziplock bag. It has only leaked a little, but didn't make a mess. My black fountain pen that wiggled out of its cap in my purse - that's a whole other story  Lauren

I would probably go with the zippie bagjust to rule out 99% of major "MMU all over purse" catastrophes. Still, I can probably work on a 'Dispensing Brushes for Dummies', too. It might be a month or so on that one.
