Bubblii I use Unblush to cover redness and I really like it since it's quite sheer so it generally doesn't leave that greenish cast / tinge  . A sample would be worth a try, or PM me and i'll put some in the post for you to try.

As far as skincare goes, I love the Apricot Cleansing oil (but then I have dry skin rather than oily or combo, and found Karen's other cleanser - KISS Cleanser - dried me out a bit). I then use the DMAE or Vitamin C Peptide serum followed by the Intensive Moiturizer (again the dry skin). I also like the Oatmeal serum and the Emu moturizer. For reference I am 42, have dry skin with some wrinkles and sun damage (thanks Aussie sun and English heritage :x ). I think with the skin care it really is a case of try and see what works for your skin. The samples are a good size and a great way to see what might or might not work for you. I tend to use a fairly simple routine of cleanser, serum and moiturizer (and the Pore Refining Toner when i remember), since I have 2 little ones and not a lot of time each day, but you may need more or less depending on your skin. Good luck and hope you can find something that works for you! :)

Welcome to the SN Addiction!

Idolize is one of my fave eyeshadows, it makes my eyes pop :)

I have so many pretty pots of colour now that my boyfriend just shakes his head :D

I'm with Silverfern on the SN mascara - it's not super duper lengthening or volumizing, but it gives such a nice coating that defines and separates a bit - making my lashes more presentable and much more *done* in a very natural looking way.

With the skincare I use the KISS cleanser - you'll find adding a full size to your cart bumps the price of shipping up a reasonable amount to Aus, but it's concentrated enough that Karen recommends using it in a foaming bottle 30% KISS to 70% water. I have used it every day for months now, and haven't hit the bottom of my first foamer bottle yet!! (There seems to be about 85-90% undiluted KISS still in the original bottle, if that helps). The apricot cleansing oil left me feeling oily on its own at first, but that was in the warmer months, now that it's getting cold it works a lot better for me.

I also use the pore refining toner which is nice and fresh, oatmeal serum and jojoba moisturiser. Samples lasted me long enough to try them out, make a decision, order and then have full sizes in my hands before I ran out. (Shipping to Tas) I did have 2 serum samples and 3 moisturiser samples though :)

SN eyeshadows go on so velvety smooth, and the blend into my lids well. I'm also a teen,so my oil glands are in hyper drive, but they stay put very well.If you get fallout on your cheeks, they wipe away super easy. Every other mineral eyeshadow I've used streaks into your foundation when you try and brush it away.

I've tried other foundations for my oily/acne skin, but they were cakey and made me look gross.SN makes me looks natural, and they diffuse my blemishes just as good as a heavier liquid foundation. There was one other mineral makeup that made me look nice, but it made me break out horribly.

There's TONS of mineral makeup businesses,so it took me a long time to get around to SN...but I regret not using it sooner. It really gives me more confidence in myself even when I get a huge break out. I notice people are more friendly and talkative to me now that I feel better about myself.I'm slowly coming out of my shell and learning how to do my eye makeup, and I just bought lipgloss a few days ago. It's nice to feel girlie and pretty =)

Had to share my love as love as well. Thank goodness for Silk Naturals and Karen!

As for favorite colors...heather,IDK,and moonstone are awesome. I've been getting the most awesome colors in my samples that I haven't gotten around to actually buying full size.Funny stuff.

I would tell you about my SN addiction but the length of post would break the server. Put it this way, I've never found anything elsewhere to beat SN for Lippies, Eyeshadow and Skincare. (skincare being my pet subject, when I was employed (currently a non-salaried carer) I enjoyed some very prestigious salon brands).

Without exception, the SN serums delivered visibly better results by far. Some are so potent and powerful that you need to work up to them but the results are demonstrably outstanding. I could wax rhapsodical about the finesse and wearability of the eyeshadows - Idolize in particular transforms from an unassuming greyish powder or even a fairly boring back-of-hand swatch into something magical around the eye.

As for the lippies, I would put my dependence upon them for moisture at borderline medical need! Nothing else protects like it. Of course, the pleasure factor and colour enjoyment is right up there on the scale, too.

Ask for colour recommendations and the answers will almost always be subjective based upon personal taste and experience of the person giving the recommendation but here, whatever you may or may not like colour-wise, the products all work superbly.

The whole SN line is notable for quality but none more so than in regards to the quality of customer service and the friendly, open and sincerely caring manner with which this business and forum are run. However else the products may excel, that's what keeps me here gladly.

Hi Bubblii, welcome to the forum :)

I don't really know what to suggest in terms of lippies (there are sooooo many, lol, and it is very subjective which ones you will like, I would check out the swatch thread and FOTD (face of the day) for ideas. In terms of skincare, I have similar skin to you (I think) and I adore the apricot oil cleanser (it is really good for clearing pores and preventing breakouts, I would never have thought an oil could work so well) and the super serum (fantastic for acne and aging and also kind of improves the texture/colour of your skin), the only caveat I would give is that some people find that the super serum stings or irritates their skin (I never found that though).

Oh, and I would use the perfecting powder all over the face, and the perfecting glow on areas (top of cheekbones etc.) that you want to highlight.

Welcome!
Being SN addict is not the worst form)) Maybe one of the funniest.
You are going to make many pleasant discoveries, good luck!

As for your questions - Unblush as a reddness concealer works wonders and I'd also like to suggest trying Sleep in a Jar extra light peach . I was happy with Yellow Sleep in a Jar before I tried the peachy one. Actually I recommend to try almost every product Karen has - sometimes your best products are not the ones you think of first. For me it is true.

And Apricot Cleansing Oil is amazing. I gave it to try to many friends and relatives (women of different age and skintype) and they all liked it)))
Hope you enjoy everything you try)))

Hey gorgeous people, sorry it's taken me so long to reply! I so appreciate all of your responses! Well I took your the advice and ordered some unblush, with so many people reccomending it how could I not? (well that's what I told my partner anyway!) I also got a tube of the mascara, from what you all said about it, it sounds perfect for me. I have long lashes with blonde tips, so I really don't need length just coverage and gloss. Am so desperately hanging out for my order to arrive, feel like a kid the night before christmas. Oh and I got a few things from the skincare range too.. I sort of just clicked on the ones that sounded nice because I literally couldn't decide otherwise, I got the raspberry moisturiser but now Im reading that a lot of people seem to like the jojoba, obviously everyone's skin is different but has anyone tried both? What did you think? I also got one of the serums to try, I forget the name but I'm really excited about it!

I still am in awe that I can make myself up in less then five minutes!

I found myself online the other week adding everything you girls had reccommended and then anything that sounded good to my cart... I stopped when I realized I had added almost every single thing I'd seen and there was no way I could afford it all!

Thank you ladies for being so welcoming and helpful. Made this site even more fun! (probably not a good thing hehe)
