Sam's stuff is so gorgeous and she is inspiring me.....I found the coolest website today

www.Craftbits.com

that has some of the neatest stuff. I might make a purse out of a pair of old jeans.

This week begins the relaunch of my etsy store, "Living in the Pretty": http://xarata.etsy.com It's kicking off with the sale of my headbands- which i made roughly 100 of.

I finally redid my banner (the old one was pretty crappy) and this one is ALL mine- it's a picture of the ceiling in my studio. I retitled everything so the theme meshes better too, so now it's "The Xarata Project: An artist's dreams and fanciful things- Living in the pretty..."

They are hand tied (like a tiny scarf for your head!) instead of the elastic ones you buy in stores. So they should fit most anyone's head! ;)

I have a much bigger head than Xarata, and while the width of the headbands looks a bit narrower on my head in proportion to the rest of my hair than they do on her, the length still fits around my head with room to spare! :D I can't wear the elastic ones because they are either too small or trigger migraines from the pressure...these are perfect. :)

I'm so proud of this week's installment of The Xarata Project, I had to share.

I started making what I call Scratchglass (colorblocking, and then removing paint for a design). It's inspired by notebook doodles :)

Pardon my French here..........but OMFG!!!!!!
Sam.......how freakin gorgeous and cool are they??? I just got chills; they are that beautiful!
What an incredible gift they would make for an anniversary, or a bridal shower.

Have you done them in any other colors? For some reason I am picturing metallic paint......bronze, or maybe pewter?

Now I need to go back and check out your blog again, I knew there was something I wanted to read....I just kept getting distracted......

Anyway, back to gushing I go....Seriously, Sam.....how blessed are you to have such talent; and how wise are you to nurture it so well.

Thank you....
