Well, since he was starved when we got him he was just food obsessed his whole life, he would eat anything, even mouldy bread from the compost etc. and was also a good hunter, so we couldn't really stop him getting fat. Our other cat was pretty unimpressed though, and we used to have to guard her food so she got to eat some!
Sasha (my current cat) used to sleep in my bed until I had my first daughter, she was so funny, she would put her paws on my then-partner's head and push until she managed to push him off his pillow, and then lie with her head on the pillow and her body under the covers... she is such a princess. She was feral when I got her (5 1/2 weeks old and born wild, caught by the cats protection league) but now she is the biggest princess around.
I believe we may have been adopted!

Laurie: They are beautiful, and yes the universe had other plans.
Lily: I loved your story. I have a 18 pound snowshoe siamese that was a stray kitten when he showed up at our house. My ex husband loved him and took him in to be his cat, but Socks had other plans and became my baby. He is so big and his head so large that even our vet tells him that she swears his daddy was a mountain lion.
