Sam,
So sorry about your job, however I agree with Karen and Mikie, these things happen for a reason, and something better will come along. Sample to your hearts content, and cheer up , things really will get better. It is just kind of hard to find the silverlining in the cloud right now.

Oh, Sam, that so sucks. Do you still have the waitress gig? I know it's hard work, but you'll get your energy back - it might support your art-creation habit for a while, and that may ultimately prove better than working for someone else.
And call me hopelessly old-fashioned, but don't you have a boy you can send out to work?

yes i do still have the cocktail waitress gig. which is actually supposed to pay really well (we calculated it and it's 25k-30k per year). I did the whole fingerprinting thing (which they use water for now- pretty cool) and got fitted for my booty shorts and vest. Orientation is on Sunday (I need to buy shoes!) It was supposed to be Monday but that's when the textiles guy wanted me to start so i pushed back my orientation a week for him! I wasn't looking forward to working 80 hour weeks with two jobs anyway but being fired because someone didn't like my personality is frustrating. My boyfriend doesn't have a job right now but he's waiting for a response from a temp company in IL (just for a few weeks til he moves out here) and he's supposed to have a phone interview with the casino today to be a cage cashier.
I did get the apt i wanted so and i sign the lease on monday but i can't really move until i buy a new car since i am currently sans transportation. I can at least get my stuff out of my mom's house though (which is waaaaay crowded without my stuff in it) and start bed shopping, etc. I'm sure it will all work out soon enough. Sometimes I just don't know how much more I can take. I am a very high stress person as it is (I've been grinding my teeth in my sleep since I was little and I have TMJ and frequent headaches which are also caused by stress. Even when I'm happy my back muscles are like ropes on either side of my spine) I'm usually a pretty tough cookie but life's been laying it on a little thick IMO. I know other people's lives are much worse than mine but knowing that doesn't seem to make the experience suck any less. lol. C'est la vie. Such is life.
