I have a nagging feeling that I ought to say by way of a kindly "just incase" warning that I - and I know of others - had a bad purge breakout shortly after switching from EDM to SN foundation. I'm convinced that the gentler touch and better quality minerals gave my skin 'breathing space' and a chance to flush out all the coarser, impacted EDM minerals which those harsher brushes buffed into my pores. I had about a month when I was all red and icky. In that time, I just dusted silk powder as I saw how healing that is (another long story). Once my skin cleared up, it stayed clearer and less oily. Once the SN skincare came along and I could balance my hydration with those wonderful serums, I've had the best skin since childhood. I thought I was happy enough before SN, but my skin *loves* this brand - and so do I

I'm glad that I read this. January is likely to be a "bad skin month" for me then

but I've dealt with much worse, I'd swear to it. I think that I need to get a few new brushes from here then for sure if you're saying the EDM brushes are harsh in comparison (which I've always had a nagging suspicion was the case).

I wouldn't worry, Christine. I had a bumpy ride but since then the skincare has launched which works such wonders. I was doing OCM with neat jojoba oil - in itself, good enough. Far superior and oh so much gentler on the skin is the new SN Apricot Cleansing Oil. Essentially, it's all the deep pore cleansing goodness of a "proper" OCM (which so many people do incorrectly and make matters worse) but with SN's Apricot Cleansing Oil, it simply rinses off because it's got an emulsifier in it! Effortless! You can feel it working as you massage it on - the gritty bits are the pore plugs coming away and the dead skin cells loosening. No hot water buffing cloths to scour away the oils, just a warm rinse. Trauma-free!
Follow that with the Pore Reducing Toner if you like and a highly hydrating gentle serum like Green Tea & Aloe to rehydrate the skincells and that in turn strengthens the skin as a tissue so that the pores function properly - job done. You might still get a milder purge if your skin is reactive - that's not uncommon when you change from one brand to another as the skin flushes out the residue of the old brand. But I can't say strongly enough how helpful, healing and gentle
and critically, how effective the SN skincare is. There will always be someone who can't use something because of allergies, but generally, these things do so much good that it's well worth sticking with for great results. Hope that reassures you.

I am so happy for you, Colleen! And I must say I really LOVE the SN foundation! Just saw some pics of me wearingit and it looks spot on, thanks to Jen's rec. I also ordered the flat top and it's on it's way to me. So thrilled with all the products! Why did I not try this sooner??????

Congratulations Colleen. I am glad to hear that the SN base is working out for your. I know I switched a few weeks ago and am kicking my self for not doing it a long time ago. My skin seems so much happier...

I think it is good for your skin. I don't really know. People have been really liking it though. It has crushed pearls in it.

Many of the ingredients in it are good for acne. Silk powder helps regulate the skin (good for dryness, yet will help with oily skin too), I'm especially impressed that it has pearl powder in it. I make my own primer/finisher, which I love beyond compare, it gives me the most amazing glow and sets my MMU wonderfully and keeps the oilies at bay all day long, but one thing I wish it had was pearl powder, but the site I order ingredients from doesn't carry cosmetic-grade pearl powder. I have the ultimate luxury treatment powder and I use it as a primer, when I remember to. I like it a lot.

If you don't mind my asking, what is your primer/finisher? Can you tell me how you are able to get an amazing glow, but at the same time keep the oilies at bay all day? How did you come on the mix? Is it expensive to do? Were did you buy the raw ingredients? Sorry for the 20 questions.
