Thanks for those swatches, Chaye! And I will definitely start with your recipe and then go from there. I like the look of Bare, it was actually on my Wish List. It kind of reminds me of Good China from EDM.
I ended up ordering Samples of the Original formula foundation and Buttery Gold. I will order the yellow booster when I place a full size order and am sure that I like the formula alright.
I decided to go with Eu-Taupe-Ia and hope that it pairs well with Vanilla. I'm also getting Vineyard and the two lip glosses.
I cannot wait to play!

So, I got my order, and first tried mixing the foundation. I started with just 2 of the BG but that didn't look like it was nearly dark enough, so I added 1.5 more. Well that was apparently way too much as I had to use all of the ivory I had and it is still not light enough. :( ....such a dork....
Oh well, I will wear it on days that I am not leaving the house to just test how I react to the formula. So far it seems very nice and not over the top powdery. Maybe that's the silk in it?
Precious lip gloss is my new fave, it looks absolutely gorgeous, so natural. And nectar is great too, not to harsh like my Burt's Bees of the similar shade.
I cannot get over how great these lip glosses feel in comparison to EDM's, Burt's Bees, and even my most recent ex-fave, Yes to Carrots.
Vineyard looks great against my green eyes and I was so happy to see that it did not turn muddy or grey on me like all the EDM purple shades I tried.
Eutaupeia was a good choice for me. It was just the shade of brown that I was looking for. Paired with vanilla, it looks so beautiful.
And I got tailfeather for free, and I am so glad. This is not a shade that I would ever have bought on my own, but it is the most gorgeous shade. And so easy, as it makes a great wash.
I cannot wait to place my next order!!

I'm sorry to hear that the mixing didn't work out well. Anyway, it took me several tries to get the right shade. I used yellow booster on my last try and hit the jackpot. Can't tell you how happy I was.

From experience, (you may have read in other threads) I can't tell if the color matches without applying it on my skin. The color may look pale in the jar, but it matches perfectly. For reference, I have attached a pic of how my mix (without tempt tryst) looks like in the jar. Hope you get your personal recipe soon.

Maybe I should try Nectar & Eutaupeia too. Hmmm.....
