WendyD-
Yes, the Medium Ash would work. It might be a little brown, but it will still be a great contour, and then you can use the rest on your brows!

Thanks Jen! I'll definitely pick some up as well then. :)

Hi!

Obviously, I need help finding the right shade here. My skin tone is neutral to warm, my veins are greenish, and sadly, that is my summer tan. The best match I've found to date is with EDM's foundation, in a mix of buff fair neutral and fairly light neutral, but if I'm going to have to mix anyway, I think I'd rather do it this way...

TIA!!

komshacbunny-
I think you will be in the Warm Gold or Ebony range (but probably neither on their own). I would start with 1 scoop Ebony plus .5 Warm Gold to about 12-14 Ivory.

Hello! I just ordered the perfect harmony sample kit and though I know there will be some mixing recipes included to start with and there are some on the site, I'm a foundation noob and don't even really know what my skin tone is. I know it's not cool (the veins inside my wrist look more green than blue and I don't look great in white or pink). But I do tend to burn before I tan. So probably either neutral/peach or warm? Maybe a bit of both?

Here are a few photos taken in natural light (sorry for the, uh, interesting faces):

Hi restinginlove....

I think you are an Olive like me. Try 1 scoop color to about 12 Ivory. I am pretty sure you will still need to lighten it a little with a few more Ivory (probably 2!) If the Olive is not yellow enough, then you will need Warm Gold.

really?! I always thought olive skin tones were like... jessica alba. and didn't tend to get freckles in the summer or burn to tan. but that could explain why my (ivory) concealers would always be a little too pink for me. I never considered olive being my skin tone at all.

Yes, Jessica Alba is olive, but a tanned olive. You are a slight/fair olive. In my experience (as a slight Olive without yellow or pink), it was always hard to find foundations.....they were either too pink or too yellow. I am (lightly) freckled, too, and burn before I tan if I don't use sunscreen.
