We are trying to work on the SPAM thing. Our Resident Computer Expert (Kris) wants to see a few of the posts, so if they seem on here longer than normal, don't worry.

Also, again, please don't reply even if you think you need what they are selling. ;) I would also definitley not click on the links.

There's a new post from another (or maybe the same) one.

Forgive me if I sound like a total and complete idiot, but I have no idea what you all are talking about! I mean, I know what spam is, but how does it relate to this here board? I know that I seem to be getting a lot more spam e-mails lately. Is that what you guys are talking 'bout?
TIA.
Laurie

Laurie-

We have had spammers posting ads as new topics in the forum. I think we had 15 new spam topics the night Zeebs started this one. Generally, we have been deleting them as they come in, but for now Kris wants to see a few of them. If it a topic does not relate to makeup, or something our members would be interested in, just avoid those threads for now, and especially DO NOT click on their links. I would say that well over half of our new forum members in the last few weeks have been spammers. We have been going through measures to ban them as forum members as soon as they post their ads, but often it will happen overnight.
