Hello Ladies,
Wondering if you can help me determine which order I should apply my mineral makeup for best results. Here is a list of what I usually do, and then a list of items I have no idea of when to apply it. Can anyone tell me if certain things that I have are in the same category and I should just choose one (i.e. do I use 'mineral veil', perfecting powders, or glows and never all 3?)
Also, any suggestions for covering up acne?
1. Moisturizer
2. Makeup Primer
3. Mineral Foundation
4. Sleep in a Jar Eye Concealer
5. Mineral Eye Make Up
6. Bronzer and or Blush
7. BE Mineral Veil (looking to sub this out)
So, when do I use Perfecting Powder, Tempt Tryst- Golden Perfecting Powder, Glows, Ultra Sheer Zinc Finishing Powder??
Am I right in thinking that Finishing powders are the last thing to go on top of my blush and bronzer, or do I apply it right after I apply my mineral foundation?
Thanks in advance - I feel like everyone already knows this stuff and I haven't a clue.
Mary

Well, I use any concealer underneath my foundation. I use the zinc powder as a primer right now, and as for Tempt Tryst, I use that before I put my blush on. I like to make sure my blush doesn't turn too pink on me- and that golden powder helps to ensure that. I've yet to find anything I like better than TT- I lighten it up with a little untinted blur because I'm so fair, but the tone is just right.
I would get rid of the BE Mineral Veil, too- Bismuth Oxychloride...blech! I used a major mineral brand that had BO in it- and it made me break out in freaking welts!
I have very oily skin, but I've stopped using a conventional silicone-based primer. I use my serum- one of which is OC serum, followed by the Hemp Moisturizer and Holy Crow- I use a powder primer in the form of the Zinc Powder. It works as well as the following silicone primers: Smashbox Green, Smashbox Light, Laura Geller Spackle, and Monistat Chafing Gel.
I DO plan on trying the Urban Decay primer for the face that's about to come out in stores, because the UDPP works so well, but I suppose we shall see.

Re: Newbie ?: Which order do I apply all my mineral makeup?
I use the perfecting powder or zinc as primers quite often, they're lovely, and like Beth put blusher on after one of the PPs (I use Date Bait or just the normal PP or a mix of both), but I don't think it makes much difference if you use it after! The glows I use as a highlighter on my cheek bones, brow bones and just above the middle of my top lip. They also look great on your collar bones and shoulders if you're wearing something strapless!
