Combos with Playful

Post by pinkfox » Sun Jun 07, 2009 8:15 pm

I keep pulling this out meaning to wear it. Anyone want to share some color combos? Thanks.

I should add I need colors other than the Muse palette since I don't have those yet, LOL!

i don't have playful, but i do have similar pinks that i really like--pink is one of my favorite colors of e/s. with them i like to wear other pinks, purples, browns and greys. i especially like the momof2angels.vox.com page (the "pink and brown" look on the 4th page, and "midnight pearl" and "gradient pinks" looks on the 2nd page are good examples of how she uses pink really well).
pinks: one of my favorites with a lighter pink is the old tutti frutti; it's a bright peachy pink--if you have anything like that it would be worth a try with playful. fawn pink, smitten, disco, frills, or cashmere would probably be nice too. i wonder how creamsicle would look--it's peachy, but may be too light.
purples: this one is wide open. karen has tons of pretty purples you could try. vineyard, breathe, naughty, plush, velvet, brimstone, heartthrob, thrills... oh, and elle (the LE from awhile ago) if you have it! i recently did a look with a light pink and elle and it was soo pretty. satin or taffeta would be worth a try too.
experiment with the browns and greys/taupes that you have...idolize would probably great, rizzo, nudge nudge...any warmish beautiful brown (of which SN has many).
other random things i would try: muted greens like danny, and purpley blues like eerie or lake.
highlight with a lighter pink (chills, whisper, opal, crush...)
that was probably TMI, but i had fun thinking about it :) HTH.
