Hi, found a good house yesterday....not great. The whole family is going out this afternoon to look again. DH is a much harsher judge than I. But, this home has been on the market for a month and a half with no bites, so we have to wonder what might be wrong with it. Hopefully, though, if hubs says it's workable, this might be it!!!!!
And Karen....there IS a kitchen, and a damn good one at that!!

F-it, F-it, F-IT!!!!!! We were gonna put in an offer tonight, but our agent calls us and tells us that there were already 10 other offers(4 of them cash) and they are not accepting any others. Thing is, the listing agent KNEW that BEFORE we went and looked at the damn house. Why can't they do their job and give us the info ahead of time so we din't just waste everybody's time??????
I'm gonna go build a hut in the woods. Anybody wanna come join me?

I feel your pain :( The market is not as cutthroat in DTLA (although at one point people were stealing the key for a foreclosure we wanted to see). I guess it's still very very expensive here. We are still waiting to hear back from the bank a week after we put in a counter, at which point there were no other bidders. I don't know. Oh, and in the meantime we decided to not go for it anyway. It turns out, the BF is not ready just yet, and it doesn't make sense for me to buy that place alone especially that it was mostly for his purposes... well, one more thing I wish I had known before completely submerging myself into this madness of research and calculations (that's the only way I do things, all or nothing). Or, perhaps I wasn't picking up on signs he was giving me? OK, anyway, home buying is put off for another couple of years, and I'll try to stop checking real estate sites, floorplans and mortgage amortization sites and concentrate on bettering what we have.

So sorry to hear that. The listing agent was very unprofessional for doing that.
