No Carmine :)

If you could replace using Carmine in some of your products with a different ingredient, I'd be a happy camper and would know I could order ANY of your colors!

Trixiejim,
We are very careful to make sure we let you know the ingredients in a certain color that may affect your purchasing choice. Carmine is in several of the micas used by the industry and it allows formulation of the most beautiful pinks. The larger companies may not let you know specifically which products contain small amounts of the ingredient you are trying to avoid. They generally say 'may contain.....' on every product. I hope you will just check our ingredients listed on the website on the specific product page for ingredients that might be on your list of avoidance for you. While we strive to make the best possible product, we also want you to know exactly what you are purchasing.

Hi Jen, oh, I know you list exactly what has carmine in it and what doesn't and I really appreciate it :) I just wish you didn't use it at all...there are colors I want but can't buy because of the carmine  The only reason I mentioned it here is because it's the "Wish List" and I wish it were so :)

No worries! :D

I wish there was a good plant based natural red too- with the number of lippies that we make it kills me that the only really vibrant reds are either dyes or carmine based. In the 18 months that we've been in business the industry has come pretty far, and it's getting better- but I wish they would move a little bit faster with some of them. I'd love to get rid of carmine- but right now there just isn't a great substitute for it. I do try to leave it out of most of our formulas, but every once in a while a color just begs for a little bit of it.
