I was wondering how you were doing, and very sorry to hear that you knew someone....I remember when we had the shootings at the courthouse in Watkins Glen in 1993. It was just awful, and that impact still persists. Such ugliness in the world- it's sad for soo many reasons.

Back on topic- I got to thinking about this west coast party- and how does Vegas sound??? I've always wanted to go. Ruby- let us know how it is when you get back!!!

Ugh on the snow- it's killing me. Laurie- when you get your fabulous new house you may find Jen, Zeebs and me camped in your back yard to escape the cold. 77 degrees indeed. There are days in January where it'd have to warm up 60 degrees just to get to freezing.

Thanks, Karen. It's all so senseless and tragic. That man was obviously very mentally ill (aren't they all though), and I heard he was quite tormented at his workplace over his poor English speaking skills. Seems there is a shooting of some sort almost daily now.

In regard to Vegas, dh and I decided not to go b/c we felt it was too hectic to try and do a trip w/in a trip w/his busy work schedule. He would have been working more than playing and we probably wouldn't have gotten as much enjoyment that way. I am a little bit disappointed, but we hope to make up for it by maybe heading to San Francisco later this summer. BUT, I've heard great things about LV and would love to go another time!

Oh, I would *love* to meet you girls in Vegas. As of right now, I can't even afford a cheap, bargain plane ticket, but if my fortunes change before the Vegas reunion, God willing, I will definitely join y'all there.

I'm all in, Vegas would be fun, but lets go in February not in the middle of summer!!!. Don't come see me in the middle of summer either, it is apat to be 70 degrees at 7 am, and 110 by 2pm and 90 still at 10 pm. The nice thing it is all dry heat, so at least you are sticky wet because of the humidity. If you want to experience some crazy Colorado weather, you should have been in La Junta the past 3 week, 1st we had a week of 70 + weather, then 2 weeks ago last Friday we woke up to a blizzard and 19 inches of snow in my front yard by 11:30 am when it quit snowing, this week it has been 70+ thru today and is supposed to be cold and rainy just in time for Easter. At least spring storms don't last long!
