Facercise

Post by alohaaina9207 » Tue Apr 07, 2009 3:36 pm

Has anyone heard of or tried Facercise? I saw some video about it on youtube. It's created by a woman named Carole Maggio. Basically it's a set of exercises for your facial muscles and it's supposed to reduce sag and wrinkles and typical effects of aging. It seems silly, but the concept does make sense to me. I am only 26 right now, but I figure you can never start prevention too soon. So, anyone have any opinions or feedback?

A well know and generally well respected version of this has been represented by Eva Fraser - you'll find it at her name .com She's been promoting facial exercise regimes for decades and has a lot of literature and videos / dvds about it. She'd be a good authority to read up on, too.

It kind of makes sense. If you figure Botox works by paralyzing muscles that hold wrinkles in place- you'd think that toning, or doing something with the underlying muscle would do some sort of good. I have amazon prime- I'll grab a book or two and report back- but I don't think it could do any harm.

it doesn't hurt to add a bit of exercise, face or otherwise. =) *checking it out now*

I HAVE THE BOOK IT IS SOOOO GOOD!!!!

I noticed a difference within a week of using it. Highly, highly recommend!!!

Now that you mention it I've been slacking off on it... hmm. *will do some first thing tomorrow*

PS, I'm in my late 20s but showed (previously to facercise) premature aging due to stress/illness. Facercise is the bomb.

Thank you ladies for all the info! And Karen, let us know what you think if you get the books :)

I think I will get a book and maybe make my mom do them with me ;) Just like regular exercise, it's always more fun to do it with a partner.

This has piqued my curiosity.. I've checked Amazon. So do you gals recommend Eva Fraser or Carole Maggio? One thing - Carole Maggio looks scary on some of the video clips on youtube.
