Scented cream/lotion to match the perfume
Re: Scented cream/lotion to match the perfume
I guess I must like sour then. Pink Grapefruit is one of my faves, but then I am also a fan of lemon scents.

Re: Scented cream/lotion to match the perfume
I noticed it...there are a lot of ways to do grapefruit- so I made one that was the one that's on the site, and a sweeter version. Jen and Susan are both really big pink grapefruit gals, and they liked the sharper smelling one...maybe it's time to at least sample the Pink Yuzu I made. Time for another gumaball!

i agree! i'd like to try the sweeter version.Kahani wrote:Btw, about the Pink Grapefruit scent, I'm wondering if the strange undercurrent of scent is from mixing it with the wax? The top note is fresh and grapefruity but there's something oddly heavy and acrid in the base notes which turns me off the scent. Anyone else smell this?
Re: Scented cream/lotion to match the perfume
I'm not picking up anything acrid in my Pink Grapefruit either. Karen is right, I love this one, but am definitely open to trying Pink Yuzu too! I got a sample of Yuzu from another e-tailer and I liked it, but not enough to buy a f/s. Pink Yuzu sounds like the best of both worlds, can't wait to try it!

ooh, i'd love to try the sweeter version. I love citrusy scents (eg. Clinique's Happy). In another thread, Karen mentions that Chanel No. 5 is not for her but its wonderful on her mom. Sadly, I think that is what is happening here with my nose picking up the "sharp" notes and my brain reacting to them as "sour".

Hey everyone thanks so much for continuing this discussion.
I'm not sure if sourness is the problem. I LOVE lemons, when I make lemonade I will deliberately squirt some juice on myself and wander around happily sniffing.
The scent I'm picking up is no the fresh crisp tartness of that means sour to me. It feels well, slightly heavier. Like its a touch musky? LOL stupid hyperactive nose. Would like to give the sweeter one a sniff.. I think TBS's offering is sweeter than yours. Maybe the sweetness will cover that odd note I can't get away from and make the scent sparkle to me. =)
I do apologise about this, I know fragrances are truly personal. But I SO wanted to adore this!

I'd love to see anything with the scent of Tobacco Vanilla. I'd buy it in an instant! I love, love, love the smell but I seem to be the only one who can smell it, usually. That is unless, someone sticks their nose on my neck, which happens, but not that often. I'm leaning more towards a concentrated version rather than a body spritz. I want people to smell what I smell. As long as it isn't TOO potent and overpowering. =)
