Great use for clear lippie
Great use for clear lippie
I had bad cracks in the corner of my mouth for about a month before I went to see the doctor, as no otc stuff or vitamins was helping, I never had it this bad before. I got meds to make it go away, and he also recommended the following: Make sure the air is humid enough, as dry air can bring out and exasperate the cracks. Another thing, before going to sleep, put some lipbalm on, and spread it a bit past your lips into the corners and around them. I'm a drooler (yup, allergies make me sleep with open mouth, that's what happens), so the waxy substance from the lipbalm protects my skin against the saliva which caused the cracks in the first place. It's been working great with my clear lippie! Just thought I'd share, wintertime is always bad for lips. I hated it, couldn't wear any colors, made me look like a clown with that extended redness around my lips, yuck.

Yup, I've been using Karen's Almond Lip Butter every night and it's awesome. I need to try the Black Label clear lippie, especially for day use to keep in my purse for when I need a quick application of moisture on my always-dry-lips.
Re: Great use for clear lippie
I find in the dead of winter I need to rotate lippies at night. I have been using Pure, Clear and the Almond Butter this year. All have made my lips much better this winter than in the past. For some reason it seems much colder/dryer this winter than last. Just Clear got me through last winter.

Re: Great use for clear lippie
So I bought the black-labeled Pure lippie with my last order and I have to say it's the best lip balm I've ever tried. And I've tried hundreds of them. I use it especially before going to bed and wake up to really soft and hydrated lips. I love it! And the application is easier and better than the Almond lip butter because I wear contacts and have to take them out every night, so this makes my fingers clean for the job! So anyways, I'll be adding a couple of them in my next order.

I have recently acquired a fantastic book - Makeup, The Ultimate Guide, by Australian makeup artist Rae Morris. I have a few books of this type but this is by far the best one I've ever come across!
One of her many tips was using clear lip gloss brushed through the brows to tame them and make them look glossy; I have quite unkempt brows if left to their own devices so need to 'stick' them in place - clear mascara can make them crispy and the SN clear liner sealer is a bit hard/matte for my taste, but a quick swipe of the clear gloss (the regular kisser slicker for me, not the BL version) directly onto the brow from the bullet followed by a quick groom with a spoolie brush is spot on.
Yet another multipurpose favourite from SN!
