Not only have you had a great business year, Karen, you've also contributed to many lives through your charities, sage advice, and welcoming attitude. Who knew a makeup chatroom would be the best place to find a friend and support in hard times? Hat's off to you, your staff, your ever-patient hubby, and all the SN ladies who have contributed to my 2008 (many more of you than you know!) Today's Russian New Year's Eve, so *tomorrow* is a do-over,LOL! From December 20th on, been disaster after disaster here so NEED & want the do-over & fresh start. Within a 2-week span, my cousin died unexpectedly & we ended up going to *2* funeral homes the day after Christmas as a long-time friend died unexpectedly *also*. THEN a sweet fella who worked for me for years died unexpectedly ~ his wife came home from work & he was slumped over the sink, sigh. Found later that he'd been OFF his meds for 2 months as he couldn't afford the $200 price tag, BIG SIGH. SO SAD & so danged *frustrating*...& his caseworker was purportedly trying to resolve the meds situation. Same week another long-time friend died but that one was expected. YIKES, this post is a downer, & it's really not meant to be. Just have had other things on my mind & WANT A DO-OVER!!!

Resolutions > LIVE EVERY DAY, LOVE EVERY DAY, LAUGH EVERY DAY! That's my story & I'm sticking to it!!!

Absurdity from yesterday > hubby had made himself some salmon w/chopped onion, etc, & for *whatever* reason put it ON THE BACK PORCH instead of in the fridge. I came home from work & was on the phone w/the dr's office ~ & he went out to fetch his salmon ~ & the salmon was upended (ROFL!) in one heckuva mess but his favorite cat Abie was having a feast,lol. He had NO idea the cat had slipped out with him. I laughed (of course; I mean, it WAS absurd!) ~ & Michael started the process of cleanup AND remaking a salmon salad for himself,lol. Did he holler at the cat? Heck, no! THAT cat is his baby, hehe. We have a fun time around here.

Oh Mikie! What a time you have had. You have my condolences. Your plans for the NEW YEAR sound absolutely spot on. You are a wise woman.

Also, I am 'happy' that your DH put his salmon on the porch. You needed a 'fun' story to make you smile! Bless our furbabies!
