Hi all,

I'm new not just to Silk Naturals, but to makeup as well ... this is going to be fun isn't it?

I think I'm cool toned - as far as clothes are concerned I look best in pastel blue, black and jewel tones and pretty awful in orange and tomato red.

I'd like suggestions for the foundation, eyeshadows, blush etc. Any tips for a total beginner would be much appreciated too.

From the look of your pic I would say you are not as cool toned as you think. I know photos can be misleading, though. I would really try Warm Gold color base. But based upon the colors you wear, you might need to throw in a sample of Ebony color base, too. The Warm Gold does run darker than the Ebony. I am guessing you will be in the 1 scoop color to 5-8 scoops Ivory. (5 or so for Ebony base and 8 or so for Warm Gold.)

Thanks I'll give it a try. The picture was taken at a CVS for a passport photo so I'd imagine it should be pretty accurate.

Usually the best pics for foundation recs are taken in natural light. The CVS one will be kind of close, but it is still artificial light.
