Yippee! My to-do list is a bit longer- but that's okay.
1) make sure everyone gets their orders
2) finish knitting my mother's hat, and my sister's mittens
3) figure out what to get the husband- he likes gadgets- pretty much anything with a battery, or that plugs in. Any ideas? I got him a TomTom for his birthday (really good deal on Amazon) and he loves it.

Yay! I love Christmas! The most important things I still gotta do is:

Buy, sign, and send out cards
Buy and wrap kids' presents

But I think the list will get longer the closer it is to Christmas.

Lets see....
Outside lights are up
Shopping is done
That leaves decorating the inside of the house
wrapping presents
signing and sending out cards
some holiday baking

I thought I was farther along than that, but hubby will help, so should still be managible.

I am always a little nutty around the Holidays. Maybe I just don't handle stress well. ;) We are having appetizers at our house for a Party this weekend. In a way it is nice because it gets us moving. We put up half of our outdoor lights last night. It was only 25 degrees F. BRRRRRRR!

I have as many decorations up indoors as I am doing. I have made/purchased so many in the past, that I just have too many. I seem to be on a 'less is more' kick. The tree is up and lights are on it. Cookie Dough thinks it is her own personal jungle gym. She sits inside near the trunk and batts the ornaments off. Thank goodness it is an artificial tree or she'd be covered in sap and pine needles. She can climb nearly to the top. We have 5 ornaments on it so far. I think we will go with unbreakables this year!

Next weekend we hare having a Sleep Over birthday party for my DD. Then we will tackle our Holiday baking.

We still have cards and a little gift shopping to do, plus wrapping.

I always say I am going to cut down on things to do at this time of the year, but it never seems to happen. I guess I did cut back on the decorating......

20 Days til Christmas!!!

I started to decorate the outside of the house yesterday and ran out of lights. So I gotta go buy more, plus an extension cord since the socket is behind the house. My kids keep taking off the ornaments off the tree so I have to re-decorate it every couple hours, lol.

18 days to go!!

Well, our party was fun. We had an ornament exchange and we got these cute 'Naughty' and 'Nice' ornaments from our good friends. Guess which one Cookie Dough likes the best? Just so you know...our tree is 7 feet and she is about one foot from the top. There are more ornaments on the floor than on the tree.

OMG! That is the cutest thing ever. Our kittens' first Hanukkah last year was similarly exciting for them. They kept getting too close to the candles and their whiskers would get singed, and then put out the candles with their paws.
