I just posted a review of the Modern Smokey Eye kit on the Mineral Makeup Maniacs forum.
Since I'm lazy, I'm not going to re-write the review here, but lets just say that if you're on the fence about getting this kit, go for it, as you will not be disappointed.
I thought the kit was going to be "over-the-top" for my 51 year face, but due to the sheerness and blendability of the colors, it worked beautifully.
As an aside, if anyone is looking for a "kohl" type of eye makeup, I'd say that the "Blackheart" shade in this kit would be a good stand-in. Imagine taking a very soft piece of black drawing charcoal to use as an eyeliner and you've got an idea of what "Blackheart" looks like.

Re: Review of Modern Smokey Eye Kit
Thanks for the recommendation! Is the forum you're referring to the group on Vox? I'd love to see the review! Thanks...
Re: Review of Modern Smokey Eye Kit
I don't go to mmm any more.
Wore Slick (BE 1980s) yesterday with Rebel (BE RockStar) & LOVED it!
Looked great, & I felt pretty frisky in it,lol.
Maryah, I just read your review on site & couldn't agree more! I think today will be an offshoot of yesterday's fluff
because I can play even more today! Gotta *love* Saturdays!

Mineral Makeup Mania is a Delphi forum. You have to register to go there but its free and they don't send you any spam.
Mikie, unfortunately, many people no longer go to the MMM forum. I took a look at the "new" mineral makeup forum and saw many former MMM regulars, but after reading the "Thank you for starting this forum" thread by a certain company owner (NOT Karen, I will hasten to say), I won't be going back to that forum. Between the 2 forums, it seems like extreams in each direction - I wish there were a "happy medium" (sigh).

I agree, lol. It unfortunately got hijacked/changed into something it wasn't. I skim but there's little now other than well, I don't know...
There needs to be a Just Fluffin' forum, hehe.

Re: Review of Modern Smokey Eye Kit
12Cat, Very nice review. I was also pleasantly surprised when I tried the kit for the first time. I really bought it for sentimental reasons, I didn’t think it could be easily pulled off for day time use.
Mikie, That’s what I think when wearing this set. Rebel and Blackheart don’t get as much wear but I will definitely have to repurchase Slick at some point. And that is saying something given the dizzying array of eye shadows I am collecting from Karen.
