Lippie Formula Poll
Re: Lippie Formula Poll
I also really like the VLGs. They're very smooth, creamy, and moisturizing. However, the formula does end up being a bit thin on my lips, and feels like it slides around more. The Slick Sticks are super moisturizing and thicker (which I like) so colors stay put a little better, I think. Mairi, with all the new colors, I think you should try a Slick Stick. I can almost guarantee you will love it.
It will be a good switch to reformulate the colors.

As long as the regular lip balm and clear black labels stay, I'm good.
Re: Lippie Formula Poll
Thank you all for your input! I've started switching them...Crimson is now a new formula lipstick, and Cultured is now a Slick Stick.

Oh, I like this switch! I loved the colors of the VLGs, but they didn't stay on my lips. My very favorite one is still the KS, so I'm hoping those remain as such for a whilekaren wrote:Thank you all for your input! Not sure if this is something you are able to source, but the BE Pretty Amazing lipcolor has pretty nice applicators. They are sort of like a doe foot/brush hybrid in my opinion. they look like a sponge applicator, but unlike the traditional doe foot, they are very flexible like a brush, and also flat, so you get a decent amount of product that they pick up.karen wrote:It would be the VLG's like Black Dahlia. I like having a liquid formula on the site. BTW- I was looking at some other packaging, and I figured out what's causing the splaying bristles. The bristles stick on the side of the tube when you put it back in, and they stay that way. To avoid it just pull the wand back up a little once it's in the tube so they flatten down. I've been on the hunt for something different, but haven't seen anything really promising yet.
I think some other brands make these too, this is revlon:

In response to Oxana's suggestion, I just wanted to say that I love the BE Amazing Lipcolor applicators!

Re: Lippie Formula Poll
Body Shop uses a similar applicator to the BE one. I really like that applicator! Good control and color payoff.

Yes, I think they're called "paddle" wands. I might be wrong, but I think I've heard the word. I have noticed that they seem to be very popular in lipglosses these days - Rimmel Stay Glossy and Revlon Colorburst use them among others. They're actually quite nice. I'm not picky though - *ooh shiny! Pretty colors!* *grabby hands*
