Coquette...?

Good morning, ladies!

Well, I'm a pale yellow girl with pink undertones and dark, dark plum lip color. I hate it. Sheer and dark colors tend to look too brown on me and anything light and opaque tends to look like I got Pepto Bismol stuck to my lips.

I need a lot of help picking colors because very few things work for my weird coloring and I can't really afford to sample and donate everything any more. Ever since my teenaged stepson moved in, we have very little to no extra money and even less extra time.

But enough of me whining about life. I need a pocket color for staying human at work. I am super intrigued by this swatch!



Betty is the perfect pink for me. The original gumball version of St. Tropez was the perfect nude but somehow the SS version shows up very brown and less pink. Innocent, I had the Pepto Bismol syndrome.

Coquette looks like a happy medium between St. Tropez and Innocent. Is there any other color I should be checking out?

Hmm, I think it will be a close call whether it works for you or not. It's kind of like a sheer version of Operative if you've ever tried that one. I'm not sure if it is too cool toned or not for you.
I love Betty too, it's super unique, the green iridescence does amazing things, we need more lippies like it!
Here are some swatches in case that would help, I tried to do all different lighting, so you get the best idea. I threw Tease in there, because that one might work for you too, not sure.

Thanks, Oxana! I'm so glad you swatched Tease. I was thinking it looked like a pinker St. Tropez but the description said red, which usually = brown on me. Does it give off much red tone?

It's more of like berry tones or cool red tones that it has. I have a hard time wearing reds, and this one doesn't give me trouble. I just finished recording a video with swatches, I just have to edit and then I should have it uploaded by the end of the day, if that would help. There will be swatches of the entire fall collection in it.
