The thing that always bugged me about kits is there would be brushes that I would have liked one or two more, and others I never touched. I pretty much use something like this and a really flat but thin liner brush, more like a miniature and flatter version of the one above.
Ya I agree with you on the kits-bugs me too. I saw this brush on the SN site..was wondering about it..

even though i cannot get my hands on any more edm brushes, since they stopped shipping internationally :( my go-to eyebrushes are still from them --> especially the angled eyeliner brush, the plain flat eyeshadow brush and the eye kabuki (this one is oh so universal!! i have already used it to apply eyeshadow, highlighter, concealer, even foundation). when i was still doing more elaborate eye looks (more than eyeliner, that is... i got lazy) i was usually using their angled blending brush for the crease. they have another blending brush with longer, dome shaped bristles, which is (in my humble opinion) quite rubbish for the crease, since the bristles are too long and bendy, but good for very softly blending edges. at the moment i am using it to blend my sn creamy concealer all over the face and it works great.

the ecotools eye brushes that i have (tried so far) are by far not as soft and pleasant to use as edm, or even the ecotools facebrushes. however, i very much love their bronzer brush for applying my sn foundation. it is very dense and soooo soft, and it gives quite a flawless finish.

from sn the only eye brush i have is the ultimate eyeshadow brush, but it honestly didn't impress me. the angled liner end is fine to use, but i just couldn't handle the other end. the eyeshadow got flicked everywhere, and it wouldn't blend well. on top of that, i dislike double-ended brushes, as i cannot store them in an upright position.

i also have the fibre optic blush brush, which is excellent for applying blush and bronzer without overdoing it, and the ultimate blush brush, which is a nice travel version of the ecotools bronzer brush, though maybe not quite as soft.
Thanks so much for all this info! It's funny...I was looking into purchasing the edm eyeshadow brush but wanted to see if anyone on here used it first. I am going to purchase 2 of them now...they are on sale on the edm site :) I already have the edm eye kabuki and really like it so i'm sure the eyeshadow brush will be great too. I was also looking into the edm blending brush with the longer, dome shaped bristles but the reviews i have read on it have also been bad so I will pass on that one. I will look into the fiber optic blush brush..sounds like a good one!

I do have a few MAC brushes that I love as well. However, I personally don't find them to work as well with my mineral makeup :/

It's all good....everyone's mileage varies. I can't stand ecotools except the bronzer brush.

The EDM eye kabuki brush is still my favorite eye shadow brush, and I use mine daily. I bought it a few years ago and take care of it. I refuse to buy anything else from EDM, though. I really really wish Karen would find a good dupe for this brush, hint hint!! ;)

My crease brushes are actually tiny ones from Stila kits that I bought years ago, and I have a Stila blending eye shadow brush I love. However, the last Stila brush I purchased (a blush brush) was far inferior to all my other Stila brushes, and I haven't purchased another one.

I've gone a long way with brushes the same as with mmu. I stopped with Silk Naturals makeup in 2009, as for the brushes my search was over about 3 years ago when I finally tried Signature Minerals' luscious brushes. I believe they might be sold somewhere else cheaper, but don't know where. I ended up buying many of these brushes, and plan to get a few more. Even my first brushes who are 3 years old look and work good. So I am satisfied :-)

Silk Naturals' Wet N'Dry brush is great, I also have the limited edition small Ecotools kabuki set for foundation which is fine but the rest of the Ecotools I don't find that great for mineral eye makeup. So for putting on most of the eye makeup I use the Silk Naturals Wet N' Dry Brush and for the crease a blending brush from Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman and the two brushes work like magic together.
