What's the definition of "nude"?
What's the definition of "nude"?
If you do a search for "nude pink" lip colors, you'll get everything from sheer sparkle to deep, dark reddish brown. What is the nude part referring to, exactly? I always thought it was another term for "MLBB" shades but that's not quite accurate either.
Re: What's the definition of "nude"?
I always thought nude pink was a pink with a little beige or brown to it, something toned down and not bright at all. I guess they probably have both light and dark shades like that so they work for various skin tones.

Ah, so it's the beige/brown in it? That makes sense. Thanks, O!

I agree. But nudes can also be peach based rather than pink based. So to me, nudes are beige/brown/pink or beige/brown/peach.

I think the nude refers to a skintone type color, so a brown or beigey color with hints of peach or pink, like the others said. Something close to your skin, like an understated color you'd wear with a smoky eye. I like mine paler, like Modern Poet. It's pretty much a perfect nude for me.

My nude is more plumy brown color. Took me forever to figure that out. Most nudes make me look dead in the lips.
