reposting from the holiday thread as I missed the boat:
How about a super hand lotion/cream? I'm thinking miracle in a tube: targeting age spots (aha? Lemon juice?), has vitamin c and other good stuff, encourages collagen production, highly moisturizing, even for the cuticles? Could be a night treatment we could wear with a glove, so something rich would be nice.
I know we can achieve all this with the different toner and serums plus creams, but would be cool to have a special cream for the often-forgotten hands
Super hand lotion
Re: Super hand lotion
A couple of suggestions for nicer (younger) looking hands.
Always wear sunscreen. Be sure your sunscreen has good UVA protection. Sunscreens that don't work for the face are great for hands.
AHA is excellent at fading spots. This is also great to help keep cuticles groomed.
Vitamin C helps even tone. I use my facial products from SN for this. But if you have facial products that don't work; they are great for hands.
At night apply your treatment product. See above suggestions or I like to use retinal. Then the heaviest cream possible. I treat my cuticles with either a cuticle balm or oil. During the day I find the easiest is the SN Lemon Pumpkin Salve.
Always wear sunscreen during the day. All year. There is no sense treating age spots, freckles, etc. with treatments and then expose your skin to the sun.
BTW I think the idea of using lemon juice as a treatment is not a good idea.

Oh, what's wrong with the lemon juice? Is it too strong? Just curious, as I've been finding home treatments based on lemon juice and sea salt for chemical and physical exfoliation.Autumn wrote:A couple of suggestions for nicer (younger) looking hands.

I also always try to put lotion on after washing my hands or doing the dishes. I hate wearing the dishwashing gloves, but I will have to find one that I like, as I'm sure the hot water is not helping

I use Devita sunscreen on my face and always wipe some on my hands too, but I'll be more vigilant about that too. And yeah, whatever my face didn't react too well to goes on my hands, like Super Serum and sometimes the Facelift serum. Once I'm out, I'll switch to the vit C one or Mamma's Helper as I think that has the highest concentration of vit c? I also apply the AHA serum on my hands when I use it on my face. I have to look into retinol. Would that be good for plumping? I just got an MSM lotion, so I use that and sometimes add some EV coconut oil to top it and then wear the gloves at night.
I use the SN cuticle balm and can't wait to get the new tub as I've been out for a while (no summer shipping). The pumpkin salve didn't work too well unfortunately.
So yeah, it's just a lot of steps
