new to SILK NATURALS, could use a little bit of help..

Post by e.lambert » Fri Nov 16, 2012 1:03 pm

hi everyone.
i just recieved my MEDIUM coverage sample kit and i am not quite sure of my actual skin tone. i have never been good with finding the right color so i am sure this will work out good.
i have pretty fair skin but i am not snow white. i have red cheeks (always) and a little splotchyness on my forehead (sometimes). my face is oily on most days. i purchased the med coverage kit, oil control primer, equalizer, sleep in a jar, and glow. (all samples)

first question is what do you recommend i use for my mixture for my foundation?

second... how do i apply all of the extras?

third... what order do you recommend i use them in for maximum coverage to last the longest??

sorry i have so many questions. i am AWESOME at eyeshadow and hair, but not so much on the basics.

THANKS AHEAD OF TIME (:

much love
ells :D

I answered the foundation in email....

For the extras....primer should go first. I usually do correctors like Sleep in a Jar before foundation. You could use the Equalizer as your finishing powder. Glow...I am going to guess it is the kind you use as a highlighter. It would go on last to highlight your cheekbones.

To make the foundation last.....this is never the same for everyone. Some use a setting spray or a mist of toner (the Strawberry Spritz is good for this, but there are other products that work well, including water in a pinch....just make sure it is a fine mist.) Some do better at hydrating the skin well before the whole makeup application process begins. Something like our Green Tea & Aloe Serum helps (allow it to sink in first.) Some use primers that are more extensive in their ingredient lists. I would try it without going to drastic measures and see how it works for you...then add in a spritz at the end if needed.
