Thoughts on Cream Blush?

Post by JenK » Thu Nov 01, 2012 8:25 am

Hi,
Just wondering about the cream blushes...how they wear, shimmer and texture.
All the colors look very pretty. Anyone try on eyes and lips?
Thanks

i have them, but find i don't wear them often. The application has a bit of a learning curve and powder is usually just easier to me

I have Tickle and Entice. I usually just dab the blush stick on a stippling brush and apply that way. I found that fingers tended to mute the color. I've not tried them on my lips.

I use Panache for both cheeks and lips. It doesn't taste very good but the color is stunning and lasts all day. And shows up in photos, which powder blushes don't seem to for me. Definitely worth at least checking out. There's a color and finish for everyone.

I've been reaching for Tickle a lot. It's a little difficult to blend out without disturbing my foundation, but the finish is nice and natural. I haven't tried it on lips, I feel that's unhygienic. It fades throughout the day, but Tickle is a very subtle shade to begin with.

As far as I know, you put on the cream blush first then apply powder foundation otherwise it gets cake-y.

I always put cream blush on top of foundation. Also, I first put the blush on my hand, then I swipe my finger across the "swatch," layering a little at a time on the apples of my cheeks.

Like feyith, I also love Panache on cheeks AND lips. :D

I also use the cream blush on top of foundation. I like to pat it on so I don't rub the foundation. In general I like the powder blushes better, but these are very handy for touch-ups-they're so easy to take with you. I have used candy apple on lips, but it doesn't feel as moisturizing as the actual lip products.

Thanks for all your replies!

How much shimmer is in Panache? I don't mind some.

I use cream blush and lip color pretty much interchangeably. Lippy you need to blend more on the cheeks, blush has less staying power on the lips.
