Hurricane Sandy...blech

Post by karen » Sun Oct 28, 2012 6:41 pm

I've been watching it all weekend hoping it would merrily drift off to sea, or die out, but it seems like she's headed right for us.

Our area of Upstate is typically where oddball weather fronts collide, and the Weather Channel is saying that power outages are likely.

If it starts looking hairy we'll close the site for ordering hopefully before the power goes out.

Good luck to everyone facing this- let's hope she drifts off to sea!

We've just had coverage of this on the British news. Hope you all stay safe and warm indoors. It looks like the NYC transportation system has shut down so they must be taking this seriously. Take care, we'll be praying for you all to stay safe.

Glad to hear it! The lights are starting to flicker here, but hopefully that's all they do.

Thank you! It looked dicey yesterday afternoon, but it petered out, and didn't amount to much. I feel really bad for the folks in NYC/NJ- it looks really bad down there.

Hope everyone has braved the storm and comes out doing okay. I've got some family from Hoboken who escaped with their two cars in time.....don't know how their house faired though.
