does the regular foundation have spf?

Post by ladycattat » Wed Jun 27, 2012 5:21 pm

I was wondering(and I know that Karen absolutely cannot give a number) but does the regular foundation carry any spf? I should wear a sunscreen on my face but I don't since I can't stand the feel of them. I wear Karen's foundation always, and the Sheer Zinc powder most of the time and in all this time my face has never burned, while other parts of me have so I was curious.

There cannot be a crisis until next week. My schedule is already full.

There is some protection in the ingredients that make up the foundation.

However, like we always say...it has not, nor likely ever will be tested for SPF. I will not even venture a guess on this one. It is best to assume it is not anywhere near enough on its own.

Logically it does...zinc oxide, and titanium dioxide do provide some protection from the sun. I do the same thing as you, and have very few freckles on my face, but my arms are just covered in them. I don't think I'd use it as my only protection for a day at the beach, but every little bit helps.
