Okay, soooo....
How do we know which one to order??
Will you post a synopsis of how you intend each color to be used, and how they compare to the original Sleep in a Jar?
Do I need to worry that they are "peach"? Or are they really meant to be used on all skintones?
New Undereye Concealers
Re: New Undereye Concealers
Hopefully Karen will pop in on this, too. All I know so far is what is under the descriptions and that they are a little more opaque than the original SIAJ.
Extra Light Peach is for Fair to Light skintones
Light Peach is for Light to Med. skintones
Medium Peach is for Med. to darker skintones
I always used to reach for a yellowish concealer for my undereyes. However, looking back in some of the pictures, the yellow almost highlights the darkcircles rather than helping them blend in. Many makeup artists recommend peach concealers. Along the lines of color theory the peach should cancel out any bluish tint. Yellow cancels more of a purplish tint.
For you, Zeebs, I would recommend a sample if you are not completely satisfied with what you are currently using. I know we can rule out the Medium for you, but I would be guessing which of the other two would work better for you (I have not seen them, yet. Maybe tomorrow.) As for me, I am planning on trying them both. Once the cream concealer comes out, I will probably use either the Light or Extra Light to help set the cream concealer.

Re: New Undereye Concealers
Good question! In the studio I've been using the Extra Light on the pale girls, the light on women who aren't pale, and the medium on women who come in with a deep tan. It is meant to just take away some of the darkness and counteract the purple/blue- it won't exactly match your skin tone, but it will probably be close. I put it on under foundation, and then layer the foundation on top...
And I realized that I forgot to mark them down for the intro offer- they're now $.75 so you can try both and decide pretty inexpensively.

Re: New Undereye Concealers
I am pretty happy with the original, and I understand that these are heavier coverage, but I'm wondering if the tone differs significantly?... if so, how? I will probably try the Extra Light version since we're going into fall, but wondering if it's worth a switch from the original since I have been satisfied with it.
Re: New Undereye Concealers
I was always pretty happy with the original too. I've been using the new one because it makes the whole area lighter and I need that lately. I've found that undereye concealers are highly individual- if you find one that works- stick with it.

Zeebs,
Just For You I went in & swiped Original Salmon SIAJ & the new Med.SIAJ. Tone doesn't vary; the newer one has more opacity but wonderfully blendable! I swiped over AGE SPOTS
on my arm & the new one's fabbo!

Re: New Undereye Concealers
Yay! Okay, thanks ladies! I think I will try the new one.... sounds like it would work for most people.
Re: New Undereye Concealers
Tried the new one! In extra pale. I am actually on the fence about the undereye concealers - the old one has its benefits, and the new one has its benefits. I am going to order samples of both and try mixing old and new to see if I can capture the best of both. I always felt the old one was a little too yellow (or orange?) for me, but I feel the new one lacks dimension and seems too matte. (Does that mean it's too light, maybe?) So, it's time for a mixing experiment...
