The Gel Liner Samples

Post by Xarata » Tue Mar 25, 2008 8:00 pm

Ok so I'm trying to use this. First, I tried it like in the video (getting it on the brush and mixing it with a powder). They mixed together fine but when I tried to apply the color just would not deposit. No go. So the next time I tried Applying the gel liner plain to my eye lid and then applying the powder on top (with the same brush) and then patting in some perfecting powder. It went on but I'll have to wait to report if it lasts. I think this product will probably be best as a premixed color like the indelibles? What do others who have gotten the sample think? Any tricks?

On a side note, along with the gel liner sample, karen totally tucked a sample of sweet nothing in my package and i think i *have* to have that now... lol.

Received a sample on a q-tip in a baggie yesterday with my order, will dot it over whatever I use as liner today. I don't generally have problems with anything fading or disappearing since I'm dry, but yesterday I did try lining with a non-SN color I hadn't tried before & was disgusted to find it had totally faded & nearly disappeared after a long workday. I'm totally spoiled by having things still look *freshly applied* when I de-fluff at night so yesterday's failure was a shocker to me. Can't try any of those methods (pre-mixing,etc) with the q-tip sample, lol, but may try dotting it over the same *non*SN dud color I used yesterday & then pitching the q-tip. That might be the best gauge for me.

Well, duh on me,LOL! I did the same thing once I opened the baggie & realized there was plenty to play with on the q-tip! I used the same beautiful (but dud) NON-SN color this morning, drylined, dotted over it with the sealant. Wasn't satisfied with the result so mixed a bit with the sealant & reapplied over it. Still looks freshly put on 12 hrs later..as opposed to yesterday's fadeout with the same color, so that was a fair/decent test!
