I used this a couple of years ago with no problem but had to stop because I got pregnant. I'm now using it again and wondering if it can cause purging. When I first started with SN skin care this happened but I assumed it was from the AHA toner.
Thanks!
Is it possible to "purge" from Super Serum?
Re: Is it possible to "purge" from Super Serum?
I'd lean more towards AHA that caused the purging. Super Serum is much more unlikely because the actives are there more to battle acne/zits/bumps/whatnot. Although different people have different trigger for purging. For example, I have experienced purging from 100% castor oil.

So are you purging now or then? From your post I thought you were purging when you were using Super Serum AND AHA, and wondering now IF you start using SS again it might cause purging. Heheh. My bad.

Yes I am purging now.

I have never heard of Vitamin C and Niacinamide cause purging. Maybe you're allergic to Venuceane? I knew some people whose skin don't go along with marine algae products like SKB or spirulina and whatnots. Maybe that's the trigger to your breakout?
I hope Karen can help clarify the issue.

I'd like to think that Super Serum isn't what's causing it, but any sort of change can bring it on- especially when you're going through hormonal things.
